Actually, I just looked at the Hoodsport 'n Dive website, and the Sund Rock fee is $16 per diver, plus tax. If it costs us $500 to rent it out for the day (total? or plus tax?), that comes to 31.25 divers at $16 per. Right now, we're at 20 people (not sure if they're all divers,) which comes to $25 per person. :smt024

I don't know the cranky old man [-X , but 1/4 scuba unit per person doesn't seem too unreasonable to keep him happy and off our backs on Saturday, and to ensure that we have plenty of room to spread out and gear up comfortably and BBQ wherever we want.
And, if more people end up coming, that reduces our costs per person even further! :occasion5:

I will, of course, yield to the majority, as I'm very susceptible to peer pressure :partyman:

If I am diving 3 days ($25 plus two days at $16 ea) and staying at yellow house ($200 for my non diving husband and I), it suddenly becomes an expensive weekend where I would probably need to let him buy more kayaking gear to offset my spendy weekend.
I would rather pay the $16 (or join KK and pay $10). Or just make my husband tow me in the kayak to avoid the surface swim. :smt064

But I think Mav has something in the works where we might STILL be the only ones there (and there isn't parking for more than 12-15 peeps there anyway) if we reserve a bunch of spots.

Since the change in accommodations resulted in $150 for the weekend to $200 for me, I'm going to have to go with the $16+tax per diver because it's starting to get a bit much for my budget.

Unless it's a private sale, the highest offering will find their way to the head of that line. Something tells me it's not for sale anytime soon though. :dontknow:

I'll dive Friday and Saturday. I'll sleep in my truck's roof-top tent Friday, then have to leave for the Shelton area after diving Saturday early afternoon. Need a place to park with bathrooms Friday night - suggestions? Almost tempted to sleep at Sund Rock. I wonder if they'd okay it.

So did you manage to get girl-style shirts? Do we need to pre-order or just pick up there?

I don't think Melissa (getwet) will be there as she's scheduled to donate a kidney on the 17th. If she is recovering well and has someone to stay with her for the day I might be able to come, but I'll have to wait till the last minute to make a decision.

Hey Mav-

What's the dealio on the parking situation at the Rock? Did we work something out, or are we on our own for Saturday?

Hey everybody else-

How many folks are coming to this shindig? What are the BBQ plans for Saturday? Is someone bringing power strips for charging all of our accessories at the bunkhouse? :bootyshake:

:dontknow:

Help a brother out!

I'm really excited for this! :bounce:

Is it too late to sign up?

I want a small or extra small shirt. Any color choices?
I would need a bed possibly two more for my friends/students if that's ok. I might have to work on Saturday but can come down in the evening and dive Sunday or Sat night :)

I believe that if you check the lodging thread, there may be one bunk left and one private bedroom.
