Double Fatality in Isla Mujeres are Seattle Divers
I got very disturbing news today that two friends from the Seattle sailing and diving community were killed in a diving related incident in Mexico. Both are older single men who had traveled together to perform REEF surveys in the past. What little information I have correlates with the Isla Mujeres...

PDX bound this spring
I think I'm finally escaping Michigan! My son's mother (sadly we're not a couple any more) seems to have found employment at PSU. Definitely interested in reconnecting with folks for terrestrial activities. Kid is doing great but a failing relationship plus COVID has made my time here not very aweso...

A belated birth announcement
It's been a hell of a year. Last July I sold off most of my dive gear which had been gathering dust for way too long, packed up, and drove to Michigan where my SO has launched her academic career. We also did one other thing last year... SageSelfie.jpg Sage arrived a just before Christmas and my pan...

Diver's Library (books)
Starting to pack things up for our move. I'd rather leave these books for someone to use and enjoy rather than put them in storage for an indeterminate period. There's both local dive guides and a decent collection of critter ID books. $100 obo in Seattle (Ballard), I don't really have time to ship ...

Re: Craigslist deals
I've started posting my own stuff, the gear I used to pass GUE Fundies. There's a whole treasure box and assortment of steel tanks I haven't gotten out of storage to inventory yet. I'll make a detailed post later BP/W, long hose reg set, lights, lead, lift bag & SMBs, etc. https://seattle.craigs...

Disappearing to the midwest
I haven't active on here or actually diving for longer than I'd like to contemplate but i wanted to stop in and leave word that I'm actually disappearing for real for a few years and am not going to be taking gear for diving the Great Lakes with me. The next few months is going to include some major...

It's contact cement, not rocket science. Have you thought about the DIY option? Learning to do my own drysuit maintenance really improved my life.

Diver finds lost Nuke in BC
Canadian army interested in old nuke that may have been found off Haida Gwaii - Vancouver Sun Sean Smyrichinsky recently spent several hours diving for sea cucumbers off Pitt Island, near Haida Gwaii. He didn’t find any. But he decided to hop on his underwater scooter for one last look before calli...

Re: Search for missing diver at Cove II
I'm pretty certain she didn't make it, I can't find any updated public information though. Our water isn't cold enough for cold water drowning to be survivable. KIRO is now reporting the diver's death . I'd like to know more about this part. The radio traffic I listened to suggested a shallower dep...

Re: Search for missing diver at Cove II
There's a Seattle Times story posted now but it has major inaccuracies (patient was not flown to Harborview she went on Medic 32) so I don't know if any other information in it can be trusted.

Seattle Fire is currently searching for a missing student at Cove II. I hope it is just poorly handled buddy separation but it may be worse.

That's going to be a better option for you. I'm keeping a pair of those tanks (as singles) but the OMS valves they came with were easily damaged by impacts, I still need to replace one of them.verrinne wrote:Ok, im starting off with ScubaPro LP 95's(also called OMS LP 98's)

Dropped the price on Craigslist, should do it here too. I also talked a guy from BC out of buying this tank that isn't Transport Canada approved.

Verrinne got excellent advice to not turn this into his first set of dubs. The tank is still available.
