Must have been well north of the dive site if she ended up 150 feet offshore in 10-15 feet of water. Possibly where 1st Ave turns right to run along the beach. Wonder if she was coming down the hill and just lost control of the vehicle?

Sounds pretty strange to me. I don't know anywhere you can be that far out and that shallow. GD's idea sounds about right though. Certainly couldn't have been anywhere near the launch ramp. 15 min underwater sounds pretty touch and go for sure.
