Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
With the advent of seasonal cold weather, I'm sure that some of you will be looking to be warmer during dives in the months ahead! Check out the original post in this thread for prices on Weezle undersuits and let me know by PM if you'd like to place an order.
Remember - since they must be shipped from the UK and pass through US Customs they take between 2 and 4 weeks to get here, so plan ahead!

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
I got an "Oxygen" set from John last year and love them. They make it real easy to stay warm on a dive. I still wear my Bare T-100 in the summer as the Weezle is too warm.
Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
John, I just saw the thread... Can I get in on the order still? I can measure tonight.

No problem, Matt! I can actually order any time, so this isn't just a one-time order.

Excellent, thanks.
Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
I put this off so long that there's now an opportunity to get a deal on a Whites Thermal Fusion. However, the Weezle Extreme seems like it's probably warmer... I gotta make a decision!
Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
Extreme+ is warmer still. Just sayin... You won't complain if you arrive at Don's on hood canal in winter to find ice in the marina.Matt S. wrote:I put this off so long that there's now an opportunity to get a deal on a Whites Thermal Fusion. Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
I have a friend who dives the "regular" Weezle Extreme year round. In the dead of Winter he would say that he would get cold.
So, when I purchased my Weezle i chose the Extreme Plus. My logic was that if i was dropping a crap ton (for me) of money on an undergarment I never wanted to be cold again.
For the most part that has been the case. I have been in waters in the low 40's diving in Neah Bay for a week straight, and in Hood Canal by the outflow of a river (water in the 30's) and I didn't even think about temperature during the dive. It has been wonderful. I have dove with leaky drysuits coming up very wet but even then I never got cold.
In the Summer I wear different undergarments - I typically go to my Weezle maybe in October, then dive it through April-May, then I have a Summer undergarment I wear.
The only thing I don't like is needing to put about 4 extra pounds in because of the loft of the Weezle, but that is what is keeping me warm so i really can't complain.
Oh - I dive a shell suit. A tighter neoprene dry suit might give some problems.
Good luck!

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
I will mimic what Tom said.
I have the 2 piece set and really like it. They are super fluffy though and do take more weight. Even doing 2 dives in the ~40* temps I am nice and warm. Last year when we did one of our rescue trainings I was in ice water playing "victim" for the SAR and Fire Dept to rescue so I probably spent the better part of 3-4 hrs in the water with no problem (thank god for pee valves).
In the summer I wear a Bare T-100 and that is usually enough unless you find a nasty thermocline.
I do wear a set of polar fleece as a base layer.

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
I have been PM'd recently by a couple of folks wondering if I will still continue to sell Weezles despite my forced retirement from diving. The answer to that is YES. The business will continue, and anyone wanting to buy a Weezle need only send me an e-mail or PM to get the ball rolling....

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
Just a quick post. I dove with the cove 2 wednesday guys after receiving my weezle extreme. Had to do a weight check and all of that since this was my first dive in about 2-3 years.
Had some complications, my suit pretty much flooded. Thankfully I stayed warm, the entire time I was pretty much compressed with very little extra air. When finally feeling the full extent of my suit filling up (and being soaked from head to toe) I added a bit of air to warm up (not much). The dive was cut short due to a leaky inflator so my entire dive was only 34ish minutes not counting water bobbing time. At the end my hands were only a little bit cold. When I took off my suit, about a gallon of water poured out. some sleeves, most legs. Still warm, and weezle extreme soaked.
I think this pretty much sold me on weezles, and if you know me, I'm not easily pleased. Plus 1 gazillion for weezles.

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
Christmas is coming up (Egad!), so I figured that I'd better encourage some advanced planning out there for anyone wanting to give or receive a Weezle! The last couple weeks of December are hectic with US Customs since so many millions of products are streaming through into the United States, so it can sometimes take a wee bit longer for Weezles to arrive here after you order. Please plan ahead so that your Weezle will be safely wrapped and under the tree on Christmas morning!
I never ask for payment until your Weezle arrives here from the UK and I either personally place it in your hands or ship it to you by Priority Mail.
For information on Weezle products, as well as measuring and ordering, please refer to the very first post in this thread.

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
John,
I'm planning on getting one (extreme plus), but I just not sure on my size.
I might be a Med Long or a Large, but will have to measure again tonight as I forgot. Anyone have one of those sizes that I can try on?

Is there anyone out there With a Weezle in his size that can help him out? If not, always remember that since Weezles do not stretch it's far better to have one slightly too large than one that is slightly too small.
There are a lot of Weezle divers living on the Eastside - hopefully there is one in your size willing to let you try theirs on!

Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving
Continuing with the Christmas and Holiday ordering heads-up. My last order took 8 days to get here from the UK, and as the overall amount of goods coming through US Customs increases this will probably slow down. If you are thinking of giving or getting a Weezle, please plan ahead so that it arrives in time.John Rawlings wrote:Christmas is coming up (Egad!), so I figured that I'd better encourage some advanced planning out there for anyone wanting to give or receive a Weezle! I got to bump Weezle Drysuit Undergarments post.
I got wet today, and as you know, we got some cold spell upon us.
I stayed warm in spite of leaky drysuit, and believe me, my old bones don't tolerate cold !
Thank you John ...

Nope....afraid not. You sure could use it up there with all the diving you're going to do!
Lately, I've been getting the Weezles about 1 to 1 and 1/2 weeks after I order them from the UK. The order I just received yesterday arrived in LESS than a week, but that's unusual.

Jan, Are you diving the extreme or extreme plus? Considering one of these and not sure which one. Seems like a plus under a shell suit would be a good choice.Jan K wrote:I got to bump Weezle Drysuit Undergarments post.

*ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING BUYING A WEEZLE UNDERSUIT*
I just received an e-mail from Weezle announcing that their prices are going up. I'll have to change my prices when theirs go up. Any orders that they receive before the last day of April will be at current prices, after that date they will be higher.
Just something to keep in mind....
