Truly a great guy and we were blessed to have him on many Bubbles and Suds dives. His passion for diving and photography was truly admirable. Bobby reported his sickness only 5 short months ago and since then his family has spent quality time with him and he passed peacefully in his home. I am sure many of you know, or know of him and share my sadness that he is no longer with his.
R.I.P buddy

Re: RIP Bobby Borenson
Thank you Norris for this post, I knew and met Bobby just like others through mutual diving buddies... Or having him show up with his car full of scuba gear to dive at a Pacific Northwest site... Bobby had his photos posted at Edmonds underwater sports up on the big wall... He had photos and his photography online to share with others...
When I met him he was a fun quirky kind of guy but that's because he was a anesthesiologist at Stevens hospital, respiratory specialist..
I remember seeing his photography camera rig and I was like damn dude you spent a lot of money on that setup !!! LoL ... I know that when it comes to Northwest Dive club and having people like Bobby in our lives scheduling Dives seeing him and his photography people posting dive reports here...
I knew him I dove with him and I'm saddened that he has left us...
Being a scuba diver here on Northwest Dive Club , I am remembering a dive buddy..
And this place will always and should be remembered by divers of the Pacific Northwest...
Being a diver in the Pacific Northwest is something that no one understands, diving outside of our Waters, are green , dark, current times, creating divers who dive in conditions no where else in the world...
May you rest in peace Bobby , and I will see you again in that big ocean, divers go to when they leave this earth...
