You won't find a better dry suit instructor than Matt Liebl in Tacoma. He not only started with drysuits while still in his teens, he also worked with a NW drysuit manufacture helping to design and sell suits.
Thanks for your service.

Re: Interested in working on and owning a compressor?
Just an update on these compressors. The buyer backed out on the first one so both are still available. I got them both pressure washed so they are clean now. I also got the engines gone through and replaced any parts that were needed to get them back to full service. Because I am still very tied up...

You don't need an inline filter. You just need to install a PMV if you don't already have one.

A friend of mine replaced his Styrofoam with a bunch of plastic barrels. Works great for him!

Re: Interested in working on and owning a compressor?
Yes, I am selling these. But I got an offer from one guy to "Help me get rid of them" by buying both for $600. So I guess I should have said I am not accepting offers below my cost ... $500.

Re: Interested in working on and owning a compressor?
Based on the questions I have been getting I figured I had better put some more information here. Both of these are the MCH6C models. That means that they have a full frame around them. Kind of a bit of a pain when doing service, but the safest configuration. (catalog picture below) Both are standar...

Interested in working on and owning a compressor?
I have a couple of MCH6 compressors that need work to get going and I just don't have the time. I really don't know what the condition of either is other than they don't turn over right now. It could be the gas engine or the compressor. Either way, it will take someone that is comfortable with a wre...

Just a little update ... the MCH6 that I mentioned above for $2900 has been readjusted to $2700! Gotta love this dollar euro exchange fluctuations. We'll see what happens to the price with our August/September container.

Talk to your instructor and see what he/she can come up with. I have always been a fan of group classes since it gives you instant buddies!

Re: Scuba Show this weekend?
I brought compressors to LOTS of the shows. When I decided to no longer make the investment in the show and just give my local customers special pricing instead, I sold a lot more compressors. For me to do the show costs me the equivalent of one compressor. That means I have to sell a bunch of them ...

Maybe you should try giving your favorite shop a visit and talk to them about private or semi private classes.

Almost all instructors do custom courses ... one on one. It will cost more but well worth it!

The perfect home sized compressor has been discontinued!
The MCH13 8.9 SCFM compressor is the perfect size for the serious diver or anyone that wants to pump up banks. I know that there are several folks that have been thinking about getting the MCH13 compressor for their home but have been on the fence. We got word from Coltri in Italy that they have qui...

Re: Sopras drysuits?
Sopras is a VERY good product line. I had worked for them for a few years when they first came to the US. Since I was the sales manager of a drysuit line, I couldn't really push the drysuits. But, I know drysuits and the Sopras were very impressive! Well made, nicely styled, pretty good American sty...

I know this compressor and can say that Demetrio took GREAT care of it. He religiously tracked down any leaks and got them fixed immediately and never hesitated to call me and invest the right maintenance parts.

Re: Harpers Ferry Pier 7/1
You do have to remember that the review you have in your link was written quite a few years ago. Since it was written, the old pier and the dolphins were all pulled out as well as quite a few of the pilings that were scattered across the bottom. There is a new pier and floating dock that has been in...

Use a lycra skin hood. It is like the suit in that it makes neoprene slide over the body a lot easier. I have seen them called SCAP and ScubaGoodHood from the DoRag people.

New compressor for Christmas?
So ... you got a new compressor for Christmas! Congratulations!! But, before you get too far into playing with the new toy, let's make sure you set it up right. First off, read your manual (yeah right ... most guys won't until something breaks but I had to say it anyway). Now, do a visual inspection...

Re: Portable Gasoline powered compressor
OK ... Christmas is just a week away and I REALLY have a lot of gifts to pay off so I am dropping the price on this compressor. It has a total of 3.1 hours of run time and I will supply it with some spare oil and a spare filter cartridge ... all for $2500 ... no tax. And it will still come with the ...
