I am off at 430pm ready to hit the water Fridays- Monday!
Thanks in advance

Living in Brinnon, WA! Returning site user after a VERY long break...
Winter here. I joined in 2009, and I have nearly 600 cold water dives. I usually bring a camera on dives, but I am not one that just floats and constantly shoots that I get cold. I used to take more photos but with so much stock on my computer, I have fell into painting from those images rather than...

Re: Titlow piling removal? Giant barnacles removed...
It's dive able on Wednesday dec 17th, but would have to be there maybe 40 minutes before sunrise and in the water at sunrise which is also slack. I still am waiting to hear back from contacts to make sure I've got my ducks in line and that the collection is legit. Anyone even have an idea of how hea...

Re: Titlow piling removal? Giant barnacles removed...
I need to look at the permit again but all it remember right now is that it has to be south of the bridge. I'm gathering some info now and still need to have this brought to others attention. The idea just kinda erupted last night. Thanks for the info you gave that's a perfect start and I will keep ...

Titlow piling removal? Giant barnacles removed...
Few weeks ago I dove Titlow and I saw the giant barnacles laying all over the place. Then someone mentioned the giant barnacles and mussels were scraped off the pilings recently to test for creosote in the pilings..(?). And that these pilings were gonna be removed soon. Looking through past threads ...

Fri. 21st: anyone contemplating Day Island or Titlow!?
I'm getting in the water. Probably Titlow over Day Island:/ What I have gathered: Narrows low tide is 1014, high tide is at 1536 with a swing of only 6ish feet. Midstream currents on the North end of the bridge has the SLACK before flood at 1110. Currents are predicted to be ~ 1 knot or less between...

Id like to be a born again diver
Sup folks of scuba, Over 5 years ago I joined here and made some great buddies, but alas, I got burned out with various drama and school and slowly my diving time dryed up. (been dry for about 4 months and I haven't used the board regularly for years!) Now, I am finally graduating. So I thought I'd ...

Nikonos-V
I scored this awesome retro nikonos-V but I have never used a film camera, other than one of those disposables, so I was looking for a tip of what to start out with as far as settings go. I have 400 speed film and planning on taking landscape shots in the sanjuans, before I dare go underwater with i...

Im a student at The Evergreen State College in Olympia currently compiling data on cloud sponges for a report. I have done plenty of research and what I would like from the dive community would be a list of areas you have dove with cloud sponges with a description of abundance, aprox. Depth, size, c...

Re: TITLOW & MAURY PILLING REMOVAL?!?!?!!!!
I had gotten this response from DNR just the other day... "We're not sure how the rumor started about Titlow. The majority of the pilings there are owned by the city of Tacoma. We spoke to the people at Tacoma Metro Parks and they are unaware of any plans to remove the pilings at the beach. DNR...

Re: South Sound Thursday Diving
I'm looking to go diving as well, if someone doesn't mind me playing with my camera.
I could have tanks in Oly by 10, off to dive somewhere after that.

Last weekend I went to Salt Creek and I really really really want to get this video in a useable format! I can only see the video on the camera itself or if I load it into the Image Mixer3 Video Editor, and its in this H.264 video format :computersmash: WTH?! I have "saved" the file but it...

I took about 40 minutes of our dive at Salt Creek but now I am having a HORRENDOUS time exporting video files into a useable format.... As I am brand spanking new to th...
