Wow! That has been a long time coming. The location is going to be excellent for both snorkelers and divers. *sigh* Guess I need to begin planning another trip to the Caymans...

Christmas diving in the Philippines!

Thought you guys might like to see a little warm water action during the cold, dreary weather in the PNW! My buddy Matt and I took this video the week before Christmas. This was the second video, and I think he is getting pretty good at the editing part. Almost makes me want to sell that anchor of a...

Re: Dive Ladder for Recreational Boat

When are you going to get your new boat out on the water? I get home on or about JAN 19, and we have to "summerize" the motor, because the boat yard in Campbell River winterized her after the mechanical survey. That should only take me an afternoon. Earliest would be the weekend of 22-23,...

Re: Dive Ladder for Recreational Boat

Hi Twitch, Why not just have a ladder custom built from Aluminum to match your boat? It would be far less expensive, weigh much less and they are easy to make. I had mine custom built by Zeigler welding for about $80. It is permanently attached to my offshore bracket, but could be made removable as...

I was going with the "Don't club me bro!" being a seal and all.

Some of my favorites;

Excuse me, did you blow a seal?

Field sobriety test, got pulled over for S.W.I.......swimming while intoxicated.

Please Mr. Trooper please don't send me back here!!!!!

Re: Pulali Point

The most comfortable way to dive Pulali is with Pacific Adventures. They do this site pretty regularly and run a great charter. Dale's fun to dive with too but he won't take my fins off and lug around my anchor of a camera like Don on Pac Adventure does. Yeah, my camera isn't exactly small either. ...

Slots, I am still on AD. I am a CW2 with the 1st Special Forces Group at Lewis. *sigh* Only 3 more years till I can retire! When I am home, my wife and I are in the water almost every weekend, and if the tides are right, sometimes during the week. Always willing to take additional people on the boat!

That is an excellent question. As the proud owner of a new (to us) dive boat, I am very anxious to see what proper etiquette is. Maybe we can coax Don into giving us some nautical nuggets?

Re: Won a trip for two to Bonaire!

We did Bonaire this spring, and had a blast. I will try to cover some of your questions. What are people generally wearing for exposure protection I wore a 3/5mil with a skull cap. We were in the water so much by the end of the week, the caps were a must. The water is pretty warm, but your body does...
