Like New Gear Bundles

Hey All, It took me a while to concede our need to own gear as we have not been diving locally but only during warm water excursions which are too few between since we had kids. These sets of gear are tip top and awesome.. I loved every minute sucking air. Mens Bundle: http://seattle.craigslist.org/...

What a georgous weekend.. Dove at the Edmonds Oil Dock Sunday morning taking advantage of the tides. In such nice weather the swim out was actually really pleasant. Visibility was OK and definately better in the shallower water. I'd day 15' vis below 40' and 25' above 30'. Swimming though those mass...

lol Don't fret too much Calvin. Virtually all marine fishies have slime coats which serve two primary functions (so we think). One is to protect them from parasitic vulnerability, the other is to assist with osmoregulation (regulating the salinity in their bodies). Whereas stripping the slime coat c...

Hey Burntchef, Yea, I have a 280Gal SPS tank and a 210Gal Fish-Only. Been in the hobby for about 3.5yrs now. Cera, I think it's safe to say most if not all advanced aquarists have mixed feelings over keeping aquatic life in captivity, however resposible aquarists continue to drive massive advancemen...

Hmm you have given me some things to think about too.. We have a 20' Bayliner in a similar situation. The 3-5yr plan is to upgrade to a 29' with a cabin though.. We'll see.

Good stuff All. So how much warm water are you guys/gals taking with you for a day of diving? I have my eyes on a purdy DUI-custom, but I think it will take me being uncomfortable to the point of limiting my enjoyment of diving before switching from my wet-suit. So far I've liked it allot, and it ad...

Sounder, our wives have that experince in common.. She HATES putting on/off and wearing her wetsuit and it almost kept her out of the water.. I admit, it does take effort and energy to use the wetsuit. Fortunately my wetsuit is very pliable, so once I'm in, my mobility is pretty good.

Any NW Wet Divers?

I'm in my first year diving and have been diving with a 7mm/12mm O'Neil semi-dry wetsuit. I plan to pick-up a drysuit at some point but I was curious if any other divers in the club/on the board dive wetsuits in the winter months up here and have any tips/tricks for keeping warm or personal depth li...

These are great tips guys. Thank you for taking the time.. It's pretty clear to me why navigation doesnt seem to be tought much, nor discussed... Our best tool is our compass and watch, with our instincts and observation backing them up. Much of it in-turn is a subjective skill from diver to diver. ...

Navigation and planning
