I am curious about the craze that is starting for sidemount diving, I understand the benifits in cave diving, going through restrictions and such but for diving in the sound, and feel free to flame me if I'm wrong. Why would I want to introduce a new level of complexity? What am I gaining over divin...

I'm not sure that there's a whole lot to discuss here unless someone has direct and reliable information on what really happened that day. It'll be up to the courts to figure this out.
