Dive sites near Cabo San Lucas?
Curious if anyone has some recommendations on sites near Cabo San Lucas. Looking for sites that are less than a 2 hour drive from Cabo. Not looking for a live-aboard situation (hopefully next time). FYI: we will be in Cabo the first week of January, in case the time of the year impacts the condition...

Re: Who's your LDS and Why??
I apologize. I didn't think there would be a problem with critical opinions of LDSs. I was actually just trying to help people out. It actually caught me by surprise when a couple people got on my case about it. My response was probably a bit reckless in hindsight. My bad. Obviously I'm new, and I d...

I had an opinion; I wrote about it; nobody has been hurt.
I don't see the problem. It's a discussion board on the internet -- you may read something you don't like. Deal with it.

Re: Who's your LDS and Why??
I have a criticism of a shop: AQUATIC SPORTS, Portland, Oregon 1) All the gear is priced with a huge mark-up 2) Can't trust the owner: he is just trying to make the most money off you as humanly possible (e.g. pointless accessories, etc.) 3) The head instructor and one of his dive assistants were TO...

Re: Zombieland
Zombieland was freaking awesome indeed. Loved everything except one part: they didn't show him decapitate that one zombie with the loppers! What gives? Come on now...

Re: Temp of cali waters?
Dived the channel islands last week (off the coast of Santa Barbara) and the water temp was between 65 and 68 degrees.
Also did a couple dives in Monterrey last week, temperatures dropped to 55 degrees.

Re: Humboldt Squid in SanDiego...
Humboldt squid: I'll take a pass. Without a big camera aparatus as a shield, Humboldt tentacles suddenly feel much more threatening. Those things attack anything that moves, including each other.

Jumpsuit or Farmer John/Jacket?
Just asking for peoples' advice or experience:
What is considered to keep you warmer, a jumpsuit, or farmer john/jane and step-through jacket combo? I've heard differing opinions.
Thank you for your responses.

Re: NWDC T-shirts: The Next Run
I voted for charcoal grey. I'm a size L. I'm new to NWDC, so bare with me. A T-shirt is an automatic purchase for me. Gotta represent! :occasion5:
