Eagle Harbor wrecks.

Does anyone here know anything about the three sunken vessels in Eagle Harbor on Bainbridge Island? I might be involved in raising them as mitigation for a dock project for the City of Bainbridge Island. I hear one of them is quite large.

Re: Whidbey island on Saturday?

Good times today! The crabs are in the pot. One was 1/8" under once I got it home and measured it, so it now lives in my marina. My regular email is jim@nwdocks.com. I'll be up for more diving next weekend.

Re: Whidbey island on Saturday?

I have two steel 130's and two Aluminum 80's. I can get the 80's filled with air and bring them for you. I'll call you in the morning to firm up plans. I'm heading to bed now.

You said you needed to go to the shop for fills, right? I am coming down from Anacortes.

Re: Whidbey island on Saturday?

Not the big, tall lurch looking guy who fills the bottles? See you at noon. I like my air with extra O2 in it, so I'll get mine filled in Anacortes ahead of time.

Re: Whidbey island on Saturday?

I'm game for a dive on Whidbey. I've never done Langley. I will be going with the Anacortes dive shop on Sunday to Keystone, so I'd prefer to go somewhere else tomorrow.

Re: Wed Crabbin the Muk dock

That sounds fun. Last time I was there, I saw herds of crab. What time? What do I need to bring? I have my fishing license, and all my dive gear, but no scooter.

Re: Lake Crescent.....

This post was originally for today. Now that today's gone by, I'm going to try to find exact coordinates for the old locomotive, and then create a new post to schedule a dive there.

Stay tuned...

Re: Lake Crescent.....

A dude I took sailing a couple of times told me about it. He lives right by it. I will ask him if he can put us on it. It's a boat dive or a long swim.

Re: Lake Crescent.....

Clear Lake here in Mount Vernon has an old steam train engine that went off a trestle and is sitting on the bottom covered with Bluegill and Bass. Anyone heard of this?

Fun Octopus video

http://www.megavideo.com/?v=ZQ8WCWOB Just ran across this video by accident. I met a semi-retired work diver here in Skyline Marina who said he was 60' down and an Octopus decided to steal his mask and reg. He went for his octopus, and it was gone too. The thing rode his head to the surface as he di...

Current will be near perfect on the 21st. That would be a great day to do Deception Pass.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this site has been completely destroyed by the great protectors of wildlife in our government.

Re: Cone Islands

James Island is my favorite overnight spot. There's a good dock on the West side in a little cove, and some nice hiking. When the dock is put away, there are two buoys on the East side. What part of the island do you dive?

Mornings are going to be very slack this upcoming week. How about Thursday morning at Skyline? It's a bit of a drive for most, but a great pair of shore dives.

Re: Discovery Bay, the good and the bad

I'm surprised an LED is capable of getting over temp. I'm probably going to go LED for a light since I am a wee todd about turning things off, especially a light on a sunny day. As for the reg blowing, it's nice it did it on deck instead of 90 feet down.
