Air fill

Hey guys, been a long time since I posted as I've been stationed on the east coast since the start of '16. First of, I miss this group, and I miss diving in the Sound, my wife and I are still planning to retire to Kitsap, so hopefully I'll get a chance to dive with you guys again. Anyway, on to busi...

Re: EUP 9/4 or 9/5

So make it an evening dive, EUP's not really tide sensitive anyway. Come on, PEER PRESSURE!!!! :smt064 But seriously, if anyone else is interested in a dive, I do need to give my gear a good shakedown before the club dive. Don't want to find that pesky little problem on game day. Also, I've got a li...

3PM sounds good, PM me a number so I can text you early if I'm going to be running late. Know a good place to grab a brew afterward?

EUP 9/4 or 9/5

Anyone interested in an afternoon/early evening dive at EUP tomorrow or Friday? I know it's late notice, but I want to do a shakedown on my gear before the Club dive on Saturday, it's been dry for a while. Reply to this or shoot me a PM if you want to join.

Deception Pass 8/6 8/7

Well, didn't get a chance to do any diving up here in BC, all the campsites were fully booked up, and my wife and daughter are non divers, so I couldn't really ditch them for several hours in Vancouver with no transportation. Heading back into WA in a few minutes, and we're going to camp at Deceptio...

Re: Planning a trip to Vancouver, BC

Well, we're packing up and leaving today, just bought a tent and we're going to try and camp for a couple of days, so I'll probably try and get a dive in at Porteau Cove. Especially if it's a nice campground, we'll probably stick around there. Thanks guys.

Planning a trip to Vancouver, BC

Anyone know of any good diving in Vancouver, without catching the ferry over to Nanaimo and the Nootka Sound?
Just looking for a couple good sites, 60-100 FSW, to dive in August.

Nudibranch Anime????

I was browsing deviantart today and typed in nudibranch for the hell of it. Found this guy, http://chael.deviantart.com/gallery/ , some of his stuff is kind of anime like, but he uses nudibranchs as inspiration in many of his pieces and they're actually quite good. Check it out.

Anyone with a boat interested in doing this dive? I was reading about it in Northwest Wreck Dives and I'd really like to dive this site, but I don't have a boat and I'm not really all that great about planning around currents, so I usually stick to sites like sund rock or harper fishing pier where t...

Re: Sunday AM - anybody wanna dive Edmonds UP?

I might show. I still haven't seen the drydock, and there's always tons of nudis there, so maybe this time I won't forget my memory card and be able to take more than 5 pictures.
Hopefully see y'all there. Planning on arriving at 8 or splashing at 8?

Well, being in the navy myself I can get access to the base easily enough, but I wonder who i'd need to talk to to dive it from shore.

That's too bad. Sure would be cool, especially since I am a Submariner, heritage and all that. Well, there's always U-352 off the coast of North Carolina, I'd like to do that one too. Thanks

Re: The Boss

No takers? Well, in that case anyone know where one can rent a boat (for a less than exorbitant price)? I'd really like to dive this site, and the Alaskan Reefer off Indian Island as well. Any large wrecks for that matter are interesting to me. Well, if anyone's interested, you know where to post. -...

USS Bugara (SS 331)

Anybody know if this wreck is divable? Found it on Google Earth, right in the mouth of the Straits of Juan De Fuca, but I can't seem to find the depth it sunk in. I'm assuming it's not, or I'm sure there would have been posts regarding it, but it was a thought, and it sure would be cool to see. -Kevin

I'd really like to dive this site, was just reading up on it, but I think one needs a boat to do this dive, which is a department I am sorely lacking in. Anyone interested? I'm thinking Saturday or Sunday, got to check my duty schedule first, morning dive, and I've got one buddy already who will pro...

Okay guys, nobody's posted for a while, and it was a pretty obscure one, so I'm pulling it, the answer was "The Underwater World of Jacques Cousteau". I found the answer here http://www.sandysondrol.com/Leaders%20&%20Legends%20%28Larry%20Elsevier%29.pdf 4ster you were closest to the ri...
