Re: Some things you should know about DEPP

I have had absolutely excellent service and fast response times from the DAN equipment insurance. Over the past 10 years I have had two claims. In both cases I had my check in hand within 2 weeks of submitting the requested documentation. https://www.h2oinsurance.com I'm a bad person and haven't re...

Re: SM, SCR, and CCR questions...

I just switched to a used rEvo III hybrid partially because I just really got over dealing with twin 130s or LP 104s. My plantar fascia have never been the same. Not just the diving, the lugging in and out of cars/trucks/boats/fill shops, VIPing them, etc. The other reason I switched is purely about...

Re: LiIon battery help

at BatterySpace you might find a replacement circuit board, which is probably all that LM will do as well That would require even more soldering that she said she doesn't want to do. Borg Queen... I wonder if you went over to Dive Extras and batted your eyelashes and played the helpless damsel... :...

Re: Puerto Rico / Caribbean dives during cruise

I would agree with rcontrera. It doesn't matter that there will be some great dive sites with great dive operators at your destinations. It's all about the logistics of getting there and back on time.

Re: Viz Reports Thread

You guys crack me up. We had a hazy 15 or more on North Wall yesterday morning, but viz had gone down (and the current had come up) by the time we did Zees. It was still better than it's been in C2, though! Good to know! I heard The Lake (Washington) sucks too. Oh well. Luckily I have plenty of gea...

Re: Dry suit exhaust valve

I have bigger problems with the inlet getting sticky. I wish they wouldn't put the hex key under the sticker and that stupid monster nut is really hard to get hold of. DMX has a thread about that too. I unscrewed the lp hose connection and put 4-5 drops of seal saver in there and worked it in with ...

Wanted: Twin 130. Trade for Twin 95s?

A buddy of mine is looking to trade his 95s for some 130s. If there's any intrest, I'll get you details (born on, hyrdo, exact specs of cylinders/bands/manifold.) Or, if you just want to buy the 95s he's looking for $600.

Scooters are kind of like breathing gas: If you're worried about capacity, pushing the limits, you already need a bigger (battery) one. That was my philosophy. Now I eat ramen for dinner.

Re: TSA & Nimh Battery Packs

I took a bunch of flights with my 35 W - 20 Ah pack. It draws a lot of attention, especially if I leave it crammed in a bag with a bunch of other gear (regs, dive computers, etc.) "You should really take that out of the bag next time." So, after that, I regularly took it out of my bag and ...
