gopro cameras?
Hey, anyone have any experience with the gopro cameras? I want to be able to shoot video while diving, without breaking the bank. I am going to borrow one from a friend to try out before I shell out any money. I appreciate any feedback.

Re: Another Redondo incident today?
The quote I posted above was from a fellow diver who was also part of the FWFD unit that responded to the call. It was this morning at Redondo. They were told that she was part of a class. She did have a pulse before leaving for Harborview. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she has a full recovery.

Re: Gray Whale at Alki Pipeline
Dec. 31st, we were tied to the dock in Oro Bay, Anderson Island and we had a Grey Whale surface about 15' away, on the opposite side of the dock. Amazing experience....I had been talking to my wife a little earlier about getting into the water and cleaning the bottom of the boat. I think I would hav...

Re: new guy...just sayin' hi!
I am in Tacoma....took OW class thru Underwater Sports. I am ready to start diving. I plan on taking my time and being fairly conservative until I am comfortable with all the gear and my buoyancy, etc.

general weight question
OK, I know I need to do a bouyancy check to determine the correct weight for ME....but, I am curious, how much weight do you use? I am 5' 10", 205lbs, diving in salt water in a drysuit. I was given 40lbs to wear during the OW course and I would like to drop some of that weight if possible. Agai...
