Re: Co- aahhh - zumel

Really nice. Not that I've been that many places but I've had a great time both times I went to Cozumel. Do you remember what the site was where you found the seahorse. That's so cool. Oddly enough, we found the seahorse right in front of our lodge at Scuba Club. Others on the trip reported finding...

Co- aahhh - zumel

Buenos Dias! Just got back late Saturday from my first trip to Cozumel. One word? INCREDIBLE!!! Great people, good food, and spectacular diving! While there, along with shore dives and boat dives, we also ferried to the mainland dove a cenote (Angelita near Playa del Carmen), a cavern (Gran Cenote) ...

So where in Oregon are you? There's lots of divers in the Portland area or in Salem (where I'm from) too.

Re: Another Langley Tire Reef Report, just visual...

Beautiful video - thank you very much for sharing. Living down south in Salem I don't get up to the Sound near as often as I would like, as such, I really appreciate all the trip reports people post here. The dive recap section is my favorite on this site.

Hi So.Oregon and welcome from another Oregonian. I'm even further (slightly) away than Aaron, but might be up for a road trip too.

Welcome to NWDC and to diving. :taco:

Hows this for an incentive for people to vote. What if AFTER voting your television were somehow screened of all political adds! Not sure why but the adds have been particularly nasty and annoying this year!!!   Oh yeah, do get out and vote!!! You cant complain if you don't! :a...

Re: online SAC Rate / RMV Calculator open for beta testing

Works well on my blackberry storm, cool tool, nice job! Dumb question time: So can I take the cubic ft per minute calculation and multiply it by the CF of a different bottle and come up with a theoretical air time for that bottle? In other words if I have .75 cf/min consumption rate and have a 13cf ...

Do not disturb?

I've been reading trip and other reports regarding the low O2 in the Canal; the fish die off, the stressed and struggling animals fighting to survive. It's all very disturbing and disheartening and I've not even had the dive opportunity to see it first hand. I'm wondering if anyone has thought of po...

I had the pleasure of meeting John for the first time last weekend at cove 2; coincidental and unrelated to meeting John, I bought the DAN master plan earlier this week. Thanks for posting this excellent article. It's a great reality check.

Re: If you were going to buy a new drysuit today...

I'd buy another Fusion, pretty much without hesitation, and especially if I had bigger feet. I love my Fusion, and it's been remarkably dry and trouble-free. With the Lycra skin and X-shorts, you save several hundred dollars over the more expensive skins, and get better pockets. You get a light sui...

Re: Any woodworkers out there??

That's gorgeous! I've worked with wood most of my life, and even though I can do some pretty nice millwork once in a while, I'm by no means a real woodworker- I'm always very impressed by work like yours, because I have a pretty good grasp of what it takes in terms of skill, patience, and time. I'v...

Re: Any woodworkers out there??

Quilted bubinga? Really? I'm attaching a picture of a 12 string acoustic I built a few years ago with some highly figured bubinga: while it's a gorgeous wood it's also hard to work with because the figure wants to move the wood around with change of humidity and temperature. I don't know, but I woul...
