Re: Spring diving at Deception Pass

Great colors. And the lighting on the sculpin photo is really nice. I like how it gets darker as the focus gets softer.

I'll probably be there but won't stick around for food. I'll stay long enough to not be a total jerk.

Keystone Jetty 2020/06/13 and 15

Finally got back in the water after spending three months dry. 2 tanks on Saturday and Tuesday. The site was crowded on Saturday with both divers and boaters. I parked off to the side by the boat dock to keep my distance from people gearing up. It seemed like people weren't strictly sticking to a 5-...

Re: Lake Washington Dive Sites

This weekend, I saw a couple divers carrying their gear down to the lake just south of Madrona Beach. https://www.google.com/maps/@47.6070234,-122.2831871,308m/data=!3m1!1e3 What dive site would that be? They seemed like they had regular tanks so is there something worth seeing at recreational depths?

Diving as lockdown phases out

Reading through the Times' writeup of the phased easing of restrictions and was wondering about the logistics of getting back in the water. https://www.seattletimes.com/life/what-inslees-4-phase-plan-to-reopen-washingtons-economy-means-for-your-life/ Are dive shops planning to do curbside dropoff/pi...

Re: UW Camera Equipment "Sale"

I looked at the Backscatter sale as well and did bite on something cool and it seems to be a legitimate deal. Backscatter Mini-Flash / Snoot combo for $314. In December when released it was $499. https://wetpixel.com/articles/backscatter-announces-mf-1-mini-flash-and-os-1-optical-snoot The MF-1 Min...

Re: South Australia Adventure - Leafy Seadragons and Pyjama Squid

Great cephalopod pics. And the seahorse picture is really cool. It reminds me of the pygmy seahorse pics except not nearly as flat as a lot of those turn out. The texture of the gorgonian (or whatever it's on) really pops.
