Re: 15.5' Inflatable Dive Boat, $5500
Interesting and what would your max unloaded speed be with that? 26 to 28 mph over ground. I prefer at least a few tanks or some weight in the boat, to keep on the water, it's scary light in the front unloaded, but the hull design prefers midship balanced weighting. Unweighted the catamaran design ...

Re: 15.5' Inflatable Dive Boat, $5500
They duo props should have slip bushings just like a regular outboard. In case of a log or rope They do, but the props are a thousand bucks in Stainless Steel for duo props and the current ones work great and hit all of the right RPMs loaded down with a week of gear so they are very low on the proj...

Re: 15.5' Inflatable Dive Boat, $5500
Honda engines use Solas props. I'll have to go check the specs for the exact numbers, but I went down 1 pitch angle to match the aluminum prop that was on there. It's propped so that a medium to full load it hits the mid to upper range of the factory recommended upper rpm range. Lightly loaded it hi...

Yes, we let the craigslist post expire because we don't have the time to spend all of our evenings showing the boat to craigslist looky-loos, especially with how many people responded. We are too busy getting our new boat ready for spearfishing season in a few weeks. Email me if you are seriously in...

15.5' Inflatable Dive Boat, $5500
Our dive boat is up for sale. For less than a nice scooter, you can be diving everything in the sound vs the same old shore diving scene. :partydance: Tow-able behind a Subaru Forester or Outback so you don't have to upgrade your dive rig! We've used this boat from Anacortes to Stuart Island runs, t...

OW Water Instructor Recommendations?
I'm not looking for myself, but I have a coworker who is looking for a quality instructor that can potentially do mid week classes in a dry suit late November/ first week of December. Most of the ones I previously would have recommended don't seem to be teaching. They are not looking for a cattle cl...

That stamped pressure as stated, and the height is visually shorter by an inch or so on the 3180 tanks.

Re: Cow Sink and Florida caves.
In October I was in sidemount hp100's and a stage, my dive buddy was in backmount this trip. I couldn't figure out how to get myself through Not My Fault in backmount and hit turn pressure anyway, after watching Sam I know how to now. Dennis was able to easily get into Not My Fault with his revo and...

Cow Sink and Florida caves.
I was able to sneak a couple days of diving in after a work trip to Florida last month. I didn't get as much video in on this trip as I had planned, but here's the little bit of video. It's primarily the entrance restriction and "Not My Fault" restriction of Cow. I've also been meaning to ...

Re: Faber tanks?
Check the tanks when you get them. My wife ordered some awhile back, and they shipped from 2 locations, one they sent the correct fx tank, the other tank sent the heavy mid pressure hp100. They exchanged and ate the shipping. But that tanks first use was a loaner, and yeah, the person that borrowed ...

Halcyon manifold plugs?
Does anyone have any laying around, know someone that wants to sell a set? I need to split a set of tanks to a L/R post. Or if you know if the DR generic plugs will actually work with the manifold. Tac. Scuba wasn't sure, and neither were most people I talked to.

Re: Deception Pass
It's not a heavily dived site by most people. There's a lot of potential risk, variability in planning, and most people aren't going to go insta- buddy at a site with that high of a potential to have a large problem. So yes the majority of the 70 people that saw the post aren't diving it, which does...

Re: How much have you spent so far?
I'm still a noobie so forgive me for asking a dumb question, but why should I avoid split fins? I was told split fins are actually better. \ It's not a dumb question at all! Like Capt. Jack said, plus those backup kicks and anti-silting kicks work awesome while taking video and taking pictures for ...

Re: How much have you spent so far?
It all started with recreational gear, then some gear was stolen while deployed. Recollected more recreational gear years later. Didn't like a few pieces of gear, then had to replace a lot of gear when I got into tech diving. And Tech diving is what I refer to as the "Rabbit Hole". If you ...

Re: Wing weight placement: What do you do?
Singles w/backplate: My wife uses, a 1lb STA, a ~5.5lb backplate, a 16lb weight belt, and 2 pockets on the cam bands with 2lbs each with Worthington 100's, compressed Bare CD-4 and fleece undergarment, adds 2 to 3lbs if she uses fabers or PST tanks on the trim weight pouches. Basically the same as I...

Last minute dive anyone?
Due to a last minute cancellation, I'm without a buddy today. I'm futzing with my sidemount rig in the sound for it's initial dive in saltwater. A buddy that can operate a cam band would be nice, and can do a long dive. Redondo, Three tree, or cove 2 works.
