Re: Channel Islands Exposure Suit Recommendations

Thanks for the advice so far. What about undergarments? I have a fleece that I could use, or I could just go in a rash guard under the suit. I think I'll still bring a wetsuit in case the weather is really hot.

Re: Oahu in March/April

Joe, how was the dive? Weather was kinda crappy yesterday. The dive was great, but yeah the weather almost my entire trip was pretty grey. It didn't start to get nice and sunny out until my planned diving was all done with. We dove the Sea Tiger and some reef right outside the harbor. The boat was ...

Channel Islands Exposure Suit Recommendations

I have a trip on the Vision coming up next week and have been wondering what to bring for exposure suits. I have a 7mm one piece wet suit, a 3mm wet suit, and a White's Nexus 3 dry suit. I plan on bringing the dry suit regardless, but I'm sort of in a toss up on the wet suit. I've read lots of peopl...

Re: Oahu in March/April

Well I booked with reefpirates for March 24th. $85 seemed pretty reasonable and the limited boat capacity is exactly what i was looking for. I'll report back after my trip. ;)

Oahu in March/April

I'm looking for any info on this charter operation.

I like the idea of the limited spots on the boat, but I also don't want to get ripped off. Anybody dive with these guys before? Please post your experience minus your opinion unless it relates to your experience. ;) Thanks.

Re: Crabbing in Oregon

What little bit of chasing crabs I've done diving, I haven't had much luck with finding any big enough. To better your odds, I'd bait the little buggers in, maybe toss some bait in where you will be diving before suiting up, at least that way they would be more concentrated in an area instead of sc...

Re: Oregon divers going to club dive Sept 18th?

Considering the population in Ashland isn't even a tenth of Eugene, I'm going to have to strongly disagree. I could be biased though, I was born on 13th street, and raised in Eugene.............. There's definitely MORE hippies in Eugene, they're just hippier in Ashland! I kid because I love-I flew...

Good for you Blaiz. Being a tech guy you can believe that I have seen that game tear some people down. Many don't understand that when you say Wow addiction it's no joke. Back in the day I used to play MMORPG's and when I say play I mean it was every waking moment, other than work, and even work st...

New Hollis Wing / Plate

So I got my plate/wing yesterday. Got it all setup like the CD Manual told me to(or so I think). I was wondering if you guys could tell me what to do with the excess straps? Should I cut them off, or should I tuck them in somewhere? I'll take some pics later too, so I can have you guys tell me if I ...

I'll be in Newport this weekend. Not sure I'll be doing any diving, but I'll be there. I'll drop you a private message with my phone number and you can give me a call. I agree with beefcake on the viz though.

When I looked at the sign-up sheet the boat was full, and I think there are plenty of back-ups too. You could always call Salem Scuba and ask Allen if there is room though. 503-588-DIVE

Re: So, how cold is it... really?

I use a wetsuit, and think it's just fine. When I bought my wetsuit I just made sure i was getting something that would work well in cold water. I went with the Tilos Titanium suit. http://tilos.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11_25&products_id=284 It's not shown there, but i...

I don't know where you could park and sleep, but I personally would just park wherever and crash out. I posted here because I'll be on that boat too. My trip starts tonight though. At 4pm I got to go to the pool to get some dry suit training, then on the road to Port Orchard. I'm staying with family...

The information won't be exactly accurate for everybody. What this site does, is drags the net picking up bits and pieces of info about people then it puts it together. The biggest bits of info that it picks up on people is from social sites like facebook, myspace, and twitter. If your info on those...

Anybody else seen this? I just checked it out, but didn't pay. Kinda creepy that somebody can get all this info on a person because it's all public record. Even your credit rating and how much money you make.
