USIA Techniflex drysuit

Anyone use one of these suits? What do you think of it? Does it seem pretty rugged?

What's the differences between the Ultra flex suit and the Z-flex? I don't see the Z-flex on the website at all.

Well, I think the cold I picked up is getting the better of me for now. So, I'm going to come up for the weekend, but I'm not going to dive. #-o I could probably get by using sudafed or something, but i'd rather not chance it. [-X Maverick, I'll get the drinks like you suggested. I think nicediver d...

That's cool. I'm not ready to fork over the dough for one yet anyway. I'm still looking into what's out there. And I was just playing about the discount.

Is anything else needed food-wise? I haven't volunteered to bring anything yet. If nothing else I can bring some chips and munchies to share.

Any of you other Portlanders know? I haven't been able to find anything looking online. I even called DC, but no one answered the phone.

Welcome to the group Shawn. You may not remember me, but we've been out diving together before. It was you and me and John Rawlings on Brian Fix's boat. We went out of Tacoma, did KVI Towers and one other dive I think. Maybe one of these days we can hook up and do it again.

anyone know if there's a warmth difference? Or is the amount of material they use fo the layers not enough to make a difference?

drysuit trilam material question

I was looking at the DUI drysuits, and they have two different kinds of trilam material they use, nylon/butyl rubber and polyester/butyl rubber. What's the difference? anyone know? I looked at the website, but couldn't find anything. #-o

drysuit undergarmet polypro vs. polyester

Hey all, I'm kind of looking around at drysuits, and started looking at undergarments. WHich is generally warmer under a drysuit: polypropylene or a polyester garment? Which wicks moisture better? Any thoughts?

It seems I remember being told if you had to barf underwater, to just do it through your regulator. That way you don't suck in a bunch of water after you blow. however, I've never done it, so don't know if that's right or not.

Sorry should have been more clear, I meant the semi-sub. I've seen it going both directions on the river, near the I-5 bridge.

Sund Rock 11-18

So I dove Sund Rock yesterday with some friends of mine. I had a couple of really nice dives. The first dive was the south wall. We walked the short trail over to the little beach then swam to the point and descended there. The vis was kind of murcky till about 25-30 ft. then it cleared up to a resp...
