Re: Selling it all off!

Bassman, you need pictures? I'm sure you know what a drysuit looks like or tanks or regulators! There is no rust or gunk on anything. There are no rips or tears nor outlandish repairs. Even if I had the time to post pictures you would still have to come and see it before you bought any of it. BTW - ...

DC500 Pro w/strobe. $490.00. You can buy a new one for $500 without the strobe, but the strobe is about $100.00

Everything works fine and is complete with extra lenses, 16x, 8x, 3x, and extension wand, which is another $100 of more.

Where is a good place to post dive gear for sale?

Sadly I must stop diving for the sake of back and joints. I have degenerative disc disease and Osteo-Arthritus and I have held on as long as I could, but it is time to stop. I have a lot of dive gear, because I always had spares of everything, but I need to sell it and I'm looking for the best place...

Good knowledge folks. I appreciate your input. Your right about Sunrise. It's a wonderful dive, but the current there can be bad as well. Your sooo right about that walk up the hill. I walked back up the hill with doubles on my back once. What a workout that was! The next time I took a hand truck do...

Amy, I looked at some of the charts for the bay area and it appears the there is a large area to the north (most of San Pablo Bay, I believe) and the southern end of the S.F. Bay are indeed very shallow averaging 3 to 6 fathoms (18 to 36 ft.). The central part of the bay where the majority of shippi...

This Saturday (June 9), Day Island Wall? Or Where ever?

I've never dove Day Island Wall, but would love to this Saturday. Slack is at or just prior to 1 PM. Probably best to hit the water at about 12:30 or a little earlier.

Slack times for current will be approx. 10:35 AM and 4:15 PM from Tacoma up through the lower portions of the Narrows, which should include all of these dive sites.

Bnboly, would it be possible for a splash time shortly after 10 AM?

Where is Solo Point, Sunnyside, and Dickman's Mill? I haven't heard of these places before. I'm in Tacoma, if it's not far I can probably do 8 AM.

I'm bummed. Last year I had something else I had to do and this year I'm taking my 7 Year old grandson to Disney Land. It's ok though, I will enjoy myself just the same! Granchildren allow grandparents to act like kids again! Wahoo!

Diving in a Drysuit

Sparky, You will love diving in a dry suit. It does take some getting used to. Make sure that the suit isn't too loose on you when you have your undergarments on. A loose fitting suit can cause some issues with bouancy. I have two drysuits. One is a Viking rubber suit which requires a little finesse...

Howard, Yes, I definitely need a dive buddy for next Saturday. I'm really looking forward to diving Salt Creek again. I've gotten a little spoiled from diving there. I live here in Tacoma and I have a real hard time getting motivated to do much diving here, because of the great conditions at Salt Cr...

The 24th is coming up soon! The diving is far better there than anywhere in the sound that I've been to! Of course I've never dove the San Juans, . . . Yet!

Salt Creek County Park - March 24th

Ebb slack will be about 1:30 with a minus tide at 1 PM, so a late afternoon dive would be best. Currents don't affect this dive too much, but storm surf can make this dive difficult when the water is low. If you've never been to Salt Creek, it is probably one of the best sites in the Northwest. Visi...

Due to the weather, I'm going to have to bag out. The roads were pretty icy when I came home and I'm not going to get up early to try and rush there because there is too many people who only drive 5 mph when they think there some ice.

I will do this with you all another time.

Is that OK with you Tom?

Morning dive on the 12th or 13th of Jan.

The tides will be fairly good on these two mornings. I would like to do a dive at Redondo or somewhere not too far north (I hate the traffic), but far enough away from the Tacoma area to gain some visability. Let me know if your interested.
