Re: Rosario Beach with Blaize

LOL I sure had fun with that shallow dive, although towards the end I figured my hands might freeze and fall off. Good inspiration for learning to keep them close to the warmth of my body. There were lots and LOTS of clown dorids, but that wee itty bitty one was the cutest, about the size of my thum...

Re: Wes Skiles • Capturing Nature

I don't mean to hijack or anything, but it caught my eye at the store that this month's National Geographic front cover is about diving, and Wes Skiles' photos are used :) I did not, however, have time to note whether his untimely death was acknowledged before press time

Re: Northwest Nudibranchs

Amazing that this thread (which I hadn't seen before) was resurrected today, as Starmonkie and I were out exploring Camano Island State park yesterday. I saw three different flavours of hooded nudi, which thrilled me, cause I haven't seen any before. These were white-gutted, one free-swimmer with or...

welcome to the boards, I hope you enjoy your visit! That road trip is a pretty darn good one! You're taking Highway 101 south? Beautiful drive. I'd love to be a buddy if you still need when the time comes.

I care about Tillamook cheese, and happy cows make happy cheese, and you can't have happy cows without happy water, so thank you for sharing sir :burntchef:

And the water off Camano Island was about 15 feet at 15 feet

I read skin diving and thought BRRRRR! no way! Not in the Puget Sound! Then the Russian part of that caught up, and well, if you dive in your skin in Russia, I guess Puget Sound can't be all that bad :eric:

Lynne, I really have no objection to doing Keystone, but I live 10 minutes from it (I'm a lucky girl!) and tend to see it on a regular basis. I'm not at all familiar with Titlow or Day Island Wall, though, and don't know where they are. I figured that MMM would put me south late at night, and it wou...
