Re: Ain't Gonna Be Diving For A While
I had this cancer on my nose and went to a plastic surgeon as well. Needless to say the scar isn't super-noticalble. BUT you need to be vigilant. I have had 3 more (2 of the same and a "pre-cancer" mole) removed since... Get well soon and remember sunscreen is your friend!

On hood canal we stayed at potlatch, before they "rennovated" it.

Re: Any campers out there?
We have done a good amount of camping and diving. We have done Waldo lake, Crescent City/Smith river, the Illinois river, Hood Canal, Lake Billie Chinook, Whiskey Town and a few others. I have often thought that an RV with and outside shower would be excellent for such a proposal... but we have been...

Re: Total computer meltdown...
Ah, the "wrong" battery.... my husband's battery was actually from the 'suunto kit' they sell you to replace the battery. I did however put in a 'cheap' battery... I think both our cobra's were sabotaged by the Cobra 2 our friend was using! shameful!

We went in august last year. We went UP asguard. It wasn't so bad. I actually wouldn't consider doing it in the snow. People do it though.

Re: Total computer meltdown...
They were both Suuntos. I hate to say this because I love my cobra (except this instance,) but they have terrible customer service. This seems like something they know about then.....

Lost GO PRO @ Alki 2.
While we were diving at alki a couple lost a Go Pro camera. I didn't get his name but his rental equipment was from tacoma. Just FYI if anyone finds one or feels like looking for one.

Total computer meltdown...
So, after my LONG hiatus from diving, my husband and I suited up and dove at Alki this weekend for the first time. Since my computer needed a new battery I went ahead and replaced it (I have an old cobra- 10-12years old). I turned it on before the dive and tried to set the time. The thing went berse...

Re: Enchantment Lakes backpacking/photography trip
Hey we did the enchantments last year and 'won' the lottery again this year. We were supposed to go october 12th but can't go. :( I hope you have fun and can't wait to see the photos! Did you get core permit? We stayed at Colchuck and day hiked up asguard. Which was so much easier.

Re: Crabbing
In Oregon we always go in months that end in ER... OctobER, NovembER, etc. And we take a goody bag and garden rake. The little 6 inch one. And we dig them out at low tide. Washington is obviously different. I'm no help in that area.

Rogue scuba in Medford does lots of 'free' club dives monthly. They are pretty nice, you should go see them.

Re: What Fins Do You Use & Why?
I like my Volo's. My husband uses the jet fins ( Except on Vacay). They are nice because they are negative, while the Volo's are neutral or even slightly positive. I have bad knees and it's hard to use heavy fins but my husband likes the jet's because he can stand on them while lighter fins break or...

Re: seacure mouth piece.
I have used my Seacure for years. I started using them because I couldn't find a way to stop my ear infections. It helps align my jaw and reduce swelling thus nearly eliminating my infections.
I have been very happy with mine. Totally worth the money.

Lost weight pocket
My friend lost her weight pocket at Sund. Most likely between shore and buoy on north wall, although we did go all the way to the end of North wall on the dive. She didn't notice it was missing until just before second dive. Vis was awful so we didn't find it. It is a black Aqualung pocket with some...

Re: Treasure hunt??
What is the point of the golf balls then if you don't get a prize? The first year I went it was all fins and pushing (which I didn't know was possible underwater!). I got kicked, landed on, and hit about 500 times. Not my idea of fun. My friend did win a case of bottled water. lol
