Tacoma Narrows & Day Island Wall 10/6-7

Spent the weekend diving the east side of Tacoma Narrows underneath the bridge. We had vis at least 40-50ft at the bridge we dove around the stanchions back over to the anchor blocks. Managed to locate the large navy style anchor , one of the light poles from the original bridge and several pieces o...

Re: Divers search for WWII Japanese sub off of OR

I did a dive out of Garibaldi a couple years ago looking for this based on a sonar survey unfortunately it turned out to be a large rock formation. The naval reports for this incident actually cover a couple of days of depth charging the area. Makes for some interesting reading though , it would be ...

Fox Island West Wall 5/10

Took a run out to Fox Island last night and was treated to a pod of about 25 Dahl's porpoise's feeding along the tide rip on the SW side of the island. We stopped and just watched them for 15-20 minutes before our dive. Proceeded over to the West Wall for our dive. Found the vis to be about 15 ft , ...

Re: Good wall dives?

For critters at Dalco work the top edge of the wall more to the west in 45-50ft. You can still swim out to the north and look over the edge into the abyss.

Re: Galloping Gertie 2 / 4-5

The better sections of the old bridge debris that we have dove on so far have been in 130-160ft on the west side of the Narrows with some smaller sections as shallow as 110ft on a lower tide. The east side of the channel has some old road deck that was just cut away after the bridge fell as shallow ...

Galloping Gertie 2 / 4-5

Spent the weekend diving Galloping Gertie and enjoying the sunshine with a couple of my regular dive buddy's. Good vis and light currents made for a couple of spectacular dives. It has been a while since we had dove this area of the bridge and it was interesting to see how much debris was left on th...

I would definitely say the Peace , I have dove with Eric & Kevin for several years and have always had a good time. Joe's cooking is always excellent and the hot tub quite relaxing.
