Re: Wow a big boost for Tacoma
Eh... think Cabellas will have to compete... REI is still the stand-alone favorite though. But then again I can't fish or hunt so I stick to diving in the water to photograph the fish and climb the mountains just for fun...

Re: Pls read if you dive at cove 2
So to echo Dave's advice, don't walk on that grass. Take it from someone that has personally allowed arrogance to get the better of him. I have on more than one occasion now done precisely what Dave did and walk the grass on a dry day after a dive thinking nothing of it. Low an behold I slipped and ...

Re: WWW - 4/3/13
Glad I could join in all the fun, though sorry I couldn't stay.... the leaky suit got the better of me and I needed to get home to run some quick repairs before I lost the daylight. Next time I'll stay for Dive 3! James, if you're back in the area again, give us a shout. I'm sure that several of us ...

Re: P-Valve for new suit
No matter which you pick, after it's installed make sure you check how it all goes together and seals. Furthermore, make sure that if you think it swivels so that you can adjust the angle of the 'male' end for best position that it is in fact swiveling and not unscrewing. Speaking from experience, f...

John,
It's not opened yet. I dove Muk last weekend for a Crack dive and we tried stopping in for brunch afterwards but they were locked up and still looked to have a fair amount of work left. Last I heard they are now targeting Mid-April to finish and re-open.

Welcome to the board and back to the water Mike! You've come to the right place to find some new dive buddies and get out. There are some pre-scheduled group dives throughout the week and if you check the threads in the Dive Planning section there are almost always folks getting out on the weekends....

Clay,
If you want to test out a few different kinds Rochester Medical will send you a sample pack to try out the different versions first... They're a pretty solid bet:

Re: Rebreather instructor training..
Not a RB diver but I totally agree with hours VS dives. That should apply to OC as well. +1 to Linedog and camerone - Hours are far more important than number of dive. I'm not a RB diver, but as a recent DM grad I can honestly say that at 100 dives I was comfortable as a diver, but no-where ready t...

Old Wetsuit or Wetsuit Scraps
Looking to build an inexpensive rinse shower system based off a design I saw this weekend and I'm in need of an old wetsuit or some neoprene scraps that I can cut up to make a sleeve for the canister. Anyone have any really old wetsuits that they just want to get rid of? Don't think the thickness ma...

Re: big changes for Dusty's light
... I did a burn down test today and they lasted 2 1/2 hours on hi on a fresh charge and the light output seems brighter due to the Li-po's higher amp output. ...They are very small packs though so it will be very easy to carry spares. 0019net.JPG What's the burn time of the older Dusty's Lights? Re: Dusty Lights
What's the going rate for a Dusty Light with a Goodman Handle these days? What's the overall lumens/watts? What's your ROLT for putting one together?
Do you provide a charger for the batteries? Could I get an extra battery pack as well?

Rich,
Do you happen to have any of your "Dusty's Lights" made up and ready for sale? The tax refund is on it's way and think I've earmarked some of it for one.

Tang or Penelope,
I live in Bellevue so I could easily meet one of you before work or after work. Or on a weekend? If not then, just let me know when you'll be at C2 or Muk next and I'll meet you there if I can. Maybe we can even make a dive of it!

Who has the T-shirts? Can I pick up a Large locally somewhere between Bellevue and Muk? I work up near Muk M-F. Any chance I can meet someone in the area to get a shirt?

Oceanic VT 4.0 vs VT 4.1 - Is there a difference?
Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the Oceanic VT 4.0 and the VT 4.1? I've looked through all the specs and at most the only thing I can see has changed is the name.... Is this just a renaming of the VT 4.0? I've checked Oceanic's website and even they are using photos of the VT 4.0...

Thanks everyone for that. And thanks Peter Guy. You're the only person that has seems to have a map of Cove 1. I took it and transposed it onto a map. I will post a finalized image of it shortly. And sorry CaptnJack, I too didn't add the monomyth... Map only goes out to 60 fsw and the monomyth/Mari'...
