Thanks for the support

Hey everyone,

While not everyone supports NW Pro Divers; for those that have shown their support and encouragement, I just wanted to say thank you for making our second year a great one.

On another topic, I may be heading to Indiana if anyone has or knows of some good diving locations there.

Re: New diver here

Sound_idea, first off welcome to the club. It is always good to hear about new divers. As for looking for partners to dive with down in the Portland/Vancouver area, I believe "dokaman" lives down there and is also looking for diving partners. May want to look'em up in the forums. I occasio...

Re: Newb from Vancouver WA.

Justin, welcome to the sport and to the boards.
I spent part of my initial college years in Vancouver (Clark College, "Go Penguins") and travel through there many times throughout the year to visit family.
May have to give you a shout when I am coming back through the area.

Re: Hello

Hey Scrappy, welcome to the mix. Ducks are number two for me, behind Cougs (normally), but lately I have had to go with ducks due to the Cougs crappy season (or should I say seasons).

Re: Yep Im A Scubnewb And So What ;-)

Yes welcome, it is always exciting to hear about new divers from the northwest hooked into the sport. Have you lived in the Seattle and Washington State area your whole life, if so, then you probably already have a good idea of where many of the good dive spots are; however, I am sure there are seve...

Re: An Introduction

Last time I dove Edmonds, no permit was required; however, that was towards the end of last year before I left for my military assignment. Just got back in October, so not sure if that has changed.

Re: Suggestions on good entry level camera

Like mcloed121's camera, Cannon makes quite a few Powershot entry level camera's with housings to go with. Some of the housing you can even buy directly from Cannon.

Takes pretty good pictures.

Re: Calling Environmentalist For Help

Well to be honest, the topic came up when I was on my last assignment with the Army in Missouri. As for obscurity posts, since it seems that a high number of scuba divers are in some ways environmentalist, I figured this may be a good place to post the question. We had some pretty dramatic lightning...

Re: Calling Environmentalist For Help

Actually my Graduate professor is even having a hard time finding data related similarly to this study, but I am determined to continue and see what I can find regarding the relationships. Also, those links didn't help, nor were related to the topic of this forum. Thanks for the assistance attempt t...

Re: Calling Environmentalist For Help

No, if I go to Kuwait that will be in January at the earliest. This research is just a semester research paper due in a few weeks. Right now I am just on the literature review portion, and I have tried google scholar with minimal results. As for kdupreez response. "No Comment, Seek Previous Not...

Calling Environmentalist For Help

Hey, I am working on a research paper regarding the effects of global warming and how it is causing an increase in lightning storms in Missouri. I currently using the following three articles to assist with the report, but need 5-7 and additional resource data. If anyone knows a good place online to...

Re: An Introduction

Greetings, and welcome to the forums and diving.
Look forward to potentially seeing you out and about.
I am by no means a hurry so we can see as much as possible diver, so I may be just the type of diver you wouldn't mind hanging with.
