Mr Boyd,
Roger that, Makes sense to dive the more current sensitive site (the marina) at slack, then fill in the day at
Sunnyside.

Also, Cheers to you and Mr Carr on a most excellent book.
Despite your sage warning, I have become addicted to wreck diving.

"Wreck dive" @ Steilacoom/Sunnyside Fri 11/26 or Sat 11/27

I've got shipwreck fever. Just got my copy of "Northwest Wreck Dives" and I'm itching to check out some shipwrecks. :supz: Sunnyside Beach Park seems like a good place to start in the south end of the sound. I plan to start at Sunnyside and check out "Stella" the sailboat wreck t...

Re: Hello Oregon Divers! (And other PNW divers too...)

Hey Neil,
I'm up for clear lake in the near future, I've never been there.
Providing the weather window for the year has not yet closed( i.e. roads open?).
Any specific day/time in mind?
Cheers
Ike

Hey All,
Thanks for the warm reception, tips, and insights.
I have that warm fuzzy feeling, it;s exactly unlike a leaky drysuit. :neener:
Glad to be aboard, and I look forward to meeting you all on future aquatic adventures.
Cheers

Tangfish wrote:Welcome, Isaac. The first thing you'll need to do is get some cold water gear sorted out. What are you using for an exposure suit?

I've got a Harvey's neoprene drysuit, along with a hood, and gloves.

Hello Northwest Dive Club

Hello all, My name is Isaac, I'm a fairly new diver from Portland looking to explore the Sound. I've been certified for many years but have only dove in Hawaii. I have about 20 dives logged, with my maximum depth at 102'. Having just geared up for cold water, I am eager to get wet. I am very excited...

I am very interested in seeing some ship wrecks as well as the local sea life. Any one have any suggestions on a good place for my first dive's in the S...
