Re: How many dive with a wetsuit in the PNW?

My summer diving is 100% wet 7 mil, I don't mind it in winter except for freezing my a__ off post dive changing into dry cloths. Other than that I prefer wet but then again I'm kind of a nut....

Back in the saddle re flippers, again...

Anybuddy up for a mid week dive at Muk? Been out of the water a while but need to moisten the gills. I'd really like to do something early to mid day but whenever. Shoot me a line if interested.

Re: HOG regulators

I got a set and so far like them I had, still have, my Aqualung but at 100' they were too hard to breathe. I got the Hog in an attempt to get rid of this issue but so fat I fing them even easier to breathe in shallower water too.

I have one on my older suit and it works great but can be a little leaky if I don't turn it down properly but that is user error, or user it too much of a hurry to get wet....

Re: Current very low O2 levels in Hood Canal-Observations ne

I coulden't sleep last night and was channel surfing and saw something about the Oregon coast having this problem too. Only there it comes and goes, unlike the canal which doesn't get flushed out regularly.

Too bad someone couldn't find a way to introduce O2 like they do in lakes.

Re: gross

The b ig issue is that BP has to run everything they intend to do by the government first. They wanted to build a barrier island to catch the oil before it hits the marshes, Corps of engineers are dragging their feet and refusing to allow it to be done. Kevin Costner is partners in a company that ha...

Re: Choices Choices

I went with the HOG, Had a store credit at Evergreen Dive. I wanted the new one since my kid will be learning this summer and he can use the old one. As for service, I had them serviced on time by SPD, prior to the close but haven't gone deep since before it. Thanks for the input, I'm breaking them ...

Re: Choices Choices

Supposedly, from the AL rep, HOG overtunes them to work better deeper where Apex is built with better parts yada, yada, yada.

I know this is a sales pitch but I want the best value for my money and though I like my Titan I'm not married to AL.

Norm at Evergreen Dive Service or I have used Sandra Herrera

I have heard good things about Norm but Sandra did my Rescue and was top notch. If you call her tell her Todd sent you.

EDS has their O2 now and can now fill Nitrox, the beauty is they are serving aviation OX which is dryer than the stuff you get from most shops. They are open and more gear is showing up daily.

Re: Pony tanks?

The way I see it is that the more air you carry the better. si a pony won't get you from 100' to the surface but if you think about it you will have a better chance from wherever you run out of air than from the bottom. This doesn't imply that a diver should ignore his/ her air co nsumption. My rule...

New Everett Dive shop

Has anyone seen the new Dive shop on Evergreen way? They are supposed to open later this month and will have Service and Nitrox. The compressor is already in and it looks like a good location.

They are next door to Mike's burgers.
