Great dive! :calvin: I will have to post pics later. The highlight of the dive for me was finding the following critters all in a 9 square feet area: a grunt sculpin, a stubby, a horned shrimp, a white tipped nudi, a slime tube worm, a small unidentified shrimp, and a brittle star! :taco: :partydanc...

Point Defiance Shark Program

Hi Thought I'd pass on info on a cool local dip I went on lately... the shark tank program at Point Defiance Aquarium! I took my twin 13 year old boys there. They give you basic instruction, supply you with all needed equipment (surface supplied air, drysuits, mask, weight) and then help you climb d...

Re: San Juans Charter

Personally, I haven't done the Gulf Islands in ages. It's a long trip, and there are no more live-aboards up there. Ed from Sun Down Diving in Nanaimo looks like he goes to Gabriolla, and perhaps beyond. He only has a small boat but he's a super nice knowledgable guy, a good guy to hit Nanaimo with....

Hi I don't know a lot of dive masters these days, but the ones I do know at Silent World in Bellevue are good. I'm sure there are plenty other good DM's up north, the Mukilteo regulars may have some recommendations. It probably won't matter too much, sounds like you're going to get it back quickly! ...
