Re: YSS Dive Charters Away Mission

Great report! I really liked the ladder on that boat too!

Hood canal diving definitely isn't as good as the San Juans or even Keystone but that was a really fun time for a change! I hope they start going further out on that thing.

Re: New Dive Buddies

We're going to be lazy tomorrow and just do the junkyard for a photo dive. Probably a 10:30 meet for an off slack dive (expect current). We have better luck with neon sea fleas when there's current. Let us know if interested!

Re: New Dive Buddies

Hi. We will likely dive Sunday somewhere. Not sure where yet. The good tides are super early and we have a full day sat so not sure where/when we'll dive yet on sun. If not too tired, we may head to whidbey in the morning for some partial off slack diving. Else we may just hang back to junkyard or s...

Hi
We will meet at redondo. The viz report is better than last week, still not fantastic but it was unclear junkyard was better and we have too many people for TTN.

ThThTh 4/15

Hi! Who's up for diving this Thursday? Does anybody have a recent viz report? Depending on viz and interest, perhaps we can go to Three Tree or the Junkyard this week (will confirm location by Thursday morning). Junkyard would be off slack but that's when you can see the neon sea fleas. Three tree h...

Re: Wolf Eel at Mukilteo T-Dock

Very cool! Such a puppy-like wolf eel!
I believe someone was bit by a wolfeel there in the past year or so, I could be wrong on that, but probably a wise move to retreat a bit.

Monterey Bay April 2021

Howdy Scuba Jess and I just got back from a road trip to go dive with our Instagram buddies @dslaterphoto and @mansonfotos who live down in Monterey, CA! We had recently hosted them for some puget sound diving (showing them lump suckers, octos, wolfeels etc) and now we wanted to go visit their turf....

Re: Sekiu 3/12/21

Hi! I usually make sure the tide isn't too low and I usually go on a flood or mild ebb. Waves are best avoided Those factors can very much limit the number of days you can dive there. This time of year it's not often the stars align. Entry/exit can be very tough there with waves, and viz will be ver...

Re: A new type of critter watching

Very cool stuff. I know blackwater is a highlight for many going to kona. Several of us have been wanting to do blackwater in the puget sound. I think now is the time of year to do it. Lots of larva in the water. I saw a sea angel and newborn fish at Keystone the weekend before last and I saw crabs ...

That's really cool. How did the article come about?
They saw the shrimp pic in the recent issue of sound water stewards and reached out.

ThThTh 4/1 -- April Fool's Edition

Hi Who's up for diving this Thursday evening? Last week we saw a dogfish(!!), octos, several grunt sculpins, lots of aggregating pygmy poachers(!), a stimpson star(!), gunnels on eggs, a few lumpies, stubby squid, spawning clams, and opalescent nudibranchs (a cool pic of one by Scuba Jess below). 6-...

Interesting sighting Derek, especially the hydroids in mouth.
