Re: Attached Drysuit Boots Cause Floaty Feet?

Hi
Good thread. I have a buddy who has taken up the following body position. They dive with F1's. Any insights on if a weight shift would help get the knees up more? If so, weights lower down or higher up? Thanks!!

Re: Super Macro @ Redondo

Awesome Scube! Thanks for the behind-the-lens story too -- I still need to try shooting with a diopter, so this is useful. We had a great weekend trying to dive Salt Creek. We made it out for a 100 minute dive on Sat -- calm but poor viz. Today we got blown out and went to Crescent instead. It was a...

Re: Any Olympic Peninsula Divers?

Hi
Welcome!

I do believe we have several board members from the Peninsula side. And several of us from Seattle are eying maybe doing Salt Creek this weekend and/or coming weekends (assuming wind/viz bears it out), if that's of avail to you. It's a great site for photography.

Re: PSA: Nauticam using images without permission!

Glenn, awesome pic, sad you got robbed! There's a guy who keeps lifting my images for his facebook feed. He often gives no credit, or incorrect credit when reposting images. He does it with other undrewater photographers as well. I told him super politely to address the issue, and what does he do? H...

I'm out. I had a change of routine this week... I went and did "Whytecliff Wednesday" last night. It is a group akin to ThThTh up in Vancouver. Though we didn't do Whytecliff, we did a boat dive in Howe Sound :partydance: Got to see some nice warbonnets and bootsponges, huge seapens, lots ...

Deception Pass April 2018

Howdy Folks Several NWDC'ers recently hit Deception Pass to take advantage of the tides. Sunday, given the exchange we thought we should go in ~40 minutes before predicted slack. When we got in, the current felt like a force 5 hurricane and it didn't settle down much at all til 55 minutes into the d...

Re: Scuba Show this weekend?

The vendor prices are crazy high. I wish they had more northwest stuff at this show, this show was pretty tropical focused. Random ideas to do that: more local dive clubs represented (including NWDC), shops/instructors, booths with info on local dives sites/charters, and maybe a local photo/video sh...

I need to get the burger count, and there's a bit TMI on this thread! :)

Is there anybody in for this other than Stephen, Val, John, SJ and myself (5 people)? Let me know before 11:30am tomorrow, if possible. :partydance:

Hope you get to check them out!

Does anyone know what happened to the Down Time? I thought somebody bought them from Don in Hood Canal and was bringing the boat to Tacoma?

SJ and I went today!
We went for a couple hours in the late afternoon. We didn't attend any of the seminars. It was fun seeing friends, and talking to a few dive ops we haven't tried yet. We didn't really check out any of the gear.

Howdy folks We had 5 divers show up for ThThTh last night... I had fun trying to take pics of this slime worm. It looked like jabba the hut's cousin.... DSC_2556-4.jpg Also seen were octos, stubbies, white tips, sea pens, and lots of grunt sculpins (I saw 4, others saw a lot too)! :) T'was a great n...

Yes, Long Island is amazing. It is quite difficult to photograph though, as there's so much going on! I forgot to mention the huge carpets of strawberry anemones too :)
