dry suit valve problems
I recently bought a used Harvey shell suit. The suit was nearly new. After 6 dives it consistently has problems releasing air during assent. It will dump air when pressure is high but will not release all the air and never very fast. When I reach about 30ft it starts to be a problem. ave managed it ...

Re: Porpoise spotted at Redondo!
Harbor Porpoise are rare in puget sound. But they are more commonly seen in singles or small groups. The Dalls are much more common in the sound I have seen them down to steamboat island. If anyone were to get a pic of a horbor porpise down this far it would be the pic of the year for sure!

Favorite sites fit in two or tree catagories. Places you can go in less than a day. Places that are all day trips. NEAR CAMDIDATES , Edmonds UWP. So many years of work here not current sensitive. The other UWparks are catching up. FAR CANDIDATES The exposed sides of the San Juans (Lime Kilm) Sekiu a...

Current at Saltwater???
We were thinking of diving Saltwater tommorow, but not on the slack. Since there is only a 6' tide we thought we could get away with it. The sound is wide here but it is a fair swim. Anyone dive here on the ebb like this?

Anyone know the regulation of private mooring bouy use. I could not find a discusion of use by others that the owner in the regs. i would asume the it is on public lane in a navigable waterway the the owner has no reserved rights. Not sure I would ever push this unless I we staying in the boat.

Re: Dive Bouy Manners
That was way more practical than I thought it would be. I was thinking much the same as you all. Thought there would be some who might think otherwise. Of course ususlly the best of the buch will be on A site like this. I thought some good sories would arise from the boatnicks doing dumb things. If ...

Dive Bouy Manners
What do you think is good manners for use of the dive bouys. We were just pulling away from a bouy a few weeks ago as a charter boat was pulling up. We did not barely see each other but it got us to thinking. What shoud happen if we were on the bouy as they pulled up. I can imagine that if we had be...

Re: Dog shooting in Des Moines
Agree with the whole nanny state thing. People need to grow a pair and deal with small problems on thier own and leave the cops for the heavy lifting. i have a few cops as friends and usually defend them to the end. that said? My job has me visit 6-12 addresses per day. Many with dogs. If the owner ...

Reels and finger spools
In all the dive shops I notice multiple line reels an finger spools. Like they sell a lot of these! Wondering what you are all using these for in Puget Sound? Lots of divers doing penetration dives? cave diving? what else on a recreational dive would you use one of these?

Re: Junkyard Eelgrass
What is the Junkyard site?
Eelgrass being torn loose in storms is normal. The frons get weaker in the winter and the waves are larger. The beds on some more exposed beaches will be radicaly diminished in the winter. However as they are a rooted plant they will return next spring.
