Re: diving shop in Tofino or Ucluelet

I don't know if they are still in business, but a couple of years back Josh Smith and I had a wonderful trip with Andy and Christine Edwards of Ocean Planet Adventures in Tofino. http://www.advanceddivermagazine.com/articles/clayoquot/clayoquot.html Their website appears to be down, but they are sti...

Re: Trimix vs rebreather

Well, since Koos' original estimate was 35 - 40K, that's a big difference from your 25K. Funny how I've somehow managed to dive CCR for years and years without half of the stuff that you apparently consider "necessary". I guess that it's all in the eye of the beholder. And what's this &quo...

Re: Trimix vs rebreather

Wow....Koos, I'm not sure where you plucked those CCR costs from, but those units must be made of gold and platinum with diamond spangles! :angelblue: Wutt.. You didnt dive with diamond spangles?? sacrilege!! What self respecting CCR diver dont like to bling it out? I know Josh will love to have a ...

Wow....Koos, I'm not sure where you plucked those CCR costs from, but those units must be made of gold and platinum with diamond spangles! :angelblue: Being slightly experienced in the CCR realm, I would like to point out that even if you are paying MSRP the costs are roughly half those that you cit...

Richard - I'm sure that they know it, but please let the Wright's know that there are many, many of us out here that are simply heartsick over this, and hoping that they will once again find joy in their lives.

Re: NiteRider Swiftwater 800 Dive Light for Sale

One important thing that I should have added is that this light is PERFECT for air travel! Small, compact and lightweight, it would go a long way toward alleviating weight fees when traveling to a warm-water destination.

For Sale: OMS Stage Bottle Regulators

For sale - Two OMS stage bottle regs with SPG. I used them for my CCR "bail-out" bottles - the one with the green 2nd stage was used with Trimix and the yellow one for my rich mixes. The small green bag was used on the yellow 2nd stage to prevent possible mix-ups in poor light. Asking $120...

Otter Bay Custom Cold-Water Hood

Do you have a big darned head? Josh Smith says that mine is like an "orange on a toothpick". Does your head get cold when you're diving? Solution: an Otter Bay Cold-Water Hood. This thing will keep you nice and warm. Here's their website: http://www.otterbaysuits.com/wetsuits.cfm My hood i...
