Re: $225 to $250 for a neck seal?
I watched Wally take more than "2 to 2.5 hrs tops" on a neoprene neck seal. Are you saying he's not experience or doing something correctly? What is a service technician's time worth? What should be the going rate? These people work on your life support equipment, they rebuild your regs, ...

Re: $225 to $250 for a neck seal?
Having owned a dive shop and watched my wife do hundreds of neck and wrist seals. I can tell you that it takes more than an hour to do one properly. It does not however take someone who is experienced in doing it 5-6 hours. 2-2.5 tops. For a shop to do this work on a normal name brand drysuit, $90 t...

Re: NWDC Pricing on O2 Cells from Analytical Industries
So is this happening? I'm going to need cells sooner than later. I've committed here but if we're talking a while before this order is done, I need to get them elsewhere.
Thanks

Re: NWDC Pricing on O2 Cells from Analytical Industries
The USPS Small FRB is $5.20 and 5 cells should fit fine and PP works for me. 11-39-md looks right I'm on a Classic Kiss.
I'm looking to get these soon, any idea on the ETA? Looks like you have 6 on the list at this point.

I could use 5 R-22's. But you'd have to forward them to me when they arrive in Seattle.

Also call your insurance Co. They don't want to be the last to know and they will usually just take over on the claim processing for you.

Re: Need info on Houston Texas
Houston isn't actually on the water, you have to drive down to Galveston to get to the water.
I spent 4 months there when I was going to The Ocean Corporation. We drove inland to go diving in lakes and rivers. Never went to the ocean for diving.

Re: Weird Question...
It 'seems' that all that ice sitting over the water would increase the ambient PSI, causing the regulator to increase the density of the gas therefore skewing the deco needed. Density of the gas is based on atmospheric pressure. The regulator does not control the density only the flow. When the gas...

Re: Seacure Hi-Flow for CCR
I had one on my first KISS and it was ok if you double zip tied it. I put it on the new one and it started to split so I went with something more generic. I love Seacure on OC but since I switched all my regs to Apeks, I can't use them anymore.

Re: Best practices for optimal foot warmth?
I admit, I didn't bother to read the entire thread but if it hasn't been suggested already. Change your socks just before you put on your drysuit. Often times your feet are sweaty and you don't realize it. Put on a nice pair of dry socks to start the dive. Oh and did I mention that 48 degree water i...

As far as how it works, All the parts are external it's a nut sleeve arrangement. (see attached).
From what I can tell, it's looking like XSScuba is moving towards these are their standard. You already have to pay an upcharge to get Thermo instead of these with steel tanks.

Really Nice Stuff!! Sorry you shoot Nikon but I won't hold that against you!
I would suggest an About Me page on the site. Nothing huge just who you are and what not.

The wings and plates were at DEMA. The wings didn't appear at all to be Halcyon but the plate is definitely rebranded Halcyon as are the accessories and there was a bungied wing at DEMA. Honestly, I didn't spend a ton of time looking at them because they didn't interest me that much other than think...

Re: Scubro DIR Tec systems?
Scubapro and Halcyon have been in bed together for quite some time. I haven't been able to find it, but in the past they shared the patent on the Fastex buckle design on the integrated weighting systems. Scubapro has had Halcyon spring straps in the catalog for a few years now. Of course the Halcyon...

Hmm, this is Juneau, not Sitka we actually have to work here and keep regular hours. Yes we'll be open but I'm currently boatless. Who'd a thunk that you could break those things.
