Re: Alaska Dive Trip

Sorry Keith, Still Narced a little from all the diving. :supz: :supz: My wife, Laura, made me Roasted Chicken with coffee mushroom cream sauce. A little too much coffee beans for a late night dinner. Bing Bing Bing. Still on a high from all the diving and then load it up with a Joe dinner. Too good ...

Re: Alaska Dive Trip

Here is a shot as we left the Harbor on Friday. All I can say is YES YES YES. Sunny and Calm. What a day it was. You can't get any better weather than this. Made us wish we could stay an extra week.

Re: Alaska Dive Trip

Thanks to Diver Dave, we had a great dive week. The weather was fantastic for Sitka standards. Sunny and a warm 26 - 40 degrees. Water was more clear on the top 30 feet than at 60 - 90. Will plan a trip back as soon as I can get the chance. Friday was a perfect dive day for weather and site location...

Re: DIY thread

The pipe is a 7" ID. It works well for my LP 95s and E8-130s. With the smaller tanks AL-80 I would put a foam pad on the inside. I would cut the and remove the 40% or so of the radius. The tanks snap into place and will not release without a good hard tug. Cut the pipe a little more open for le...

Keith, Jeff, Ron, Bob, Mrs Bob, Val, Jackie. Fun diving with everyone. I enjoyed the post dive tailgate gathering. I will bring the heater to more of the Thursday Night Dives. Ordered a new G10 camera and housing today. I will attach it to a D ring this time. Live another day to take better pictures...

Re: 2/5/09, Thursday night dive(s)

I think it would be a great idea to have a post dive tailgate party. Hot drinks and snacks. Kevin can bring some of his wifes good pizza snacks. I will bring a heater to warm diver up during SI.

Great dive last night. A very relaxing dive. Ron, sorry you did not make it to Redondo for the second dive. Mr. Octo would not come out and play. Calm waters and good viz was nice.

I tend to not use the public beach. Walk right past that area and jump in.

Ron,

I would be up for that if my suit gets to me in time. Here is a picture from Sitka a few years back in my Bare. It would be fun to go up next year with you.

Re: Anyone ever gone diving in a Missile silo?

I dove the Silos about 20 minutes past Vantage on the road to Pullman. Dove it about 10 years ago. I thought it was an interesting dive. Not something I would do again. Glad I did it for the experience. Water was clear in the Silo but a suit hazard walking in waist deep murky water in the undergroun...

Does anyone out there have have any drawings\ pictures of a towed sled. I want to go looking for an old tug that is supposed to be somewhere on the west end of the Tahsis Narrows and figured I could cover a lot more ground with a sled.

Thanx,

Re: My First Rescue

Our son Rescued our dog Denali. We have become foster parents until he gets a home where he can have a dog. It will be an interesting day when that time comes and my wife will have to say goodby to our son and keep the dog. Our little Chewi still runs the house.
