As a former Product Specialist for REI...I guess I need to put my 2 cents in. Polartec is Polartec...no matter who stitches it together. The 100, 200 and 300 weights refer to grams per sq. meter. The only manufacturer that I'm aware of currently using the 300 wt. is North Face in their Denali jacket...

This one is on my list of classes to take as well.

I guess one missing piece of the puzzle... jcander - How "big" are you? I will say that for the big guys...they do sling their 130's onto their back and look as comfortable with them as I do my HP80's (the only ones small enough to not hit my legs when I walk...) One of my regular dive bud...

Your LP 72's, when filled at a +10% (if stamped to do so...) will give you 72 cu. ft. of air. A HP80, filled AT pressure recommendations, will give you 80 cu. ft. of air. Your breathing rate and depth are the factors that determine how much air you go through on a dive. AND...as you get more experie...

Bainbridge

I did a new dive on Bainbridge Island last week. Very shallow, only because I had young teens with me. But, the shallows rocked...and the next deeper reef shelf was supposed to be even better. The site was called Rockaway Beach. At Exotic Aquatics shop on the island, they have a map of the local sit...

Can't wait for the story!! Showed the pics to my co-workers (non-divers)...they thought that was "hella cool"!

And the idea that the original guys not only got out of the plane...but then bushwhacked their way out of there...WOW!!

Very cool life you lead Mr. Rawlings!!
