Back in the day (1980), this was a great dive site, although it was still a long swim out. Both Saltwater State Park and Seahurst Park (a King Co park in Burien) had sunken barges that had recently been put there. I don't know if this was an early " Ships to Reef" type project, or more lik...

Cold Water, thanks, we left our info with the dive shop, they said they would call if they turned up. A couple of OR divers were at the shop on their way to Sund Rock, Sunday, when we dropped off our key, and they were going to take a look. They had been there Saturday, and had seen where our son ha...

Lost fins at Sund Rock

My son lost a pair of ScubaPro Jet fins at Sund Rock yesterday (Sat. 09/22). He had the small Bayliner anchored about 25 yard out from the North Wall bouy, just slightly south of it. He thinks he was anchored in about 75 ft of water. When he swam back out to his boat after diving with his mom and me...

My wife and I both have the Viking system and like them very much. I like the positive locking system that they use- you don't have to worry about blowing a glove off or knocking it loose underwater. They can be a little bit of a pain to line up correctly when putting them on, but are not that tough...

When are you going? We looked at going to Bonaire, but after much consideration, we changed our plans and chose Curacao instead. Another 16 days to paradise! I am sure you will have a wonderful time!

Welcome. I am also a mid-week diver (as soon as my drysuit comes back from repair-new seals). Hope you hook up with you soon. My wife and I have a Carribean trip coming up in a couple of weeks, but after that I will be available as a dive buddy.

We love Puget Sound, but 80 degree water, 100 ft vis, white sand beaches, drinks with little umbrellas, well you understa...

Wednesday 03/28 dive?

Looking for someone to dive with Wed 03/28, morning to early afternoon. My days off just got changed (hopefully just temporarily) from 4/10's with f/s/s off, to a rotating 5 on- 2 off/5 on- 3 off schedule. This means my days off rotate forward one day every 2 weeks. I have Tues/Wed off next week, bu...

That really sucks, especially on base. Amy, PM me if you are still in contact with her. I have a Cressi J-115 (jacket bcd) that is next to new (about 10 dives before I went back inflate) that is gathering dust in the closet as the family back-up BC. I would offer her a sceaming deal on it, along wit...

Amy, why did you schedule it for April 24? You already know that Kellie and I are going to be diving in Curacao then! Or, perhaps, that is exactly why you scheduled it when you did :pale: . Just kidding of course. It sounds like a great night, maybe we can catch it another time.

Just for info, Rest-A-While has rented the blue "dive cabin" (El Casa?) out to full time renters that now live there. My wife and I stayed in our RV a couple weeks ago at the park and one of the employees told us they weren't filling it enough with divers, so the owner decided to make it a...

rjarnold- Bubbles Below is a good place to start. They rent drysuits (you will probably have to take a drysuit class with them before you can go out on your own). It is one of my favorite dive shops in the Seattle area. My family of divers frequents many of the greater Seattle dive shops, and most a...

Yeah, I figured as much. I don't think mine lasted a week without being found (my son and I dove there the next weekend looking), but I thought I might as well post- maybe it had fallen somewhere concealed. Thanks anyway.

This would be a long shot, due to how long ago I lost it, but I lost a Wenoka Squeeze Lock at Redondo over a year ago. It was the small size ("BC") knife, titanium w/tanto tip, black handle with blue squeeze sides. Not sure where at Redondo it came out. I had just got a new BC and had reco...

Yes, Puget Sound King Crab are edible and they are AMAZINGLY delicious!
I had the same experience 20 some years ago in the San Juans. It was the best tasting crab I have ever had. Right out of the pot, it tasted like it had been basted in butter! If they ever open a season again, I'll be there.
