Re: In Memoriam: Lynne Flaherty (LCF, TSandM)
My bit for Lynne Flaherty: I met Lynne around 2010. I was taking classes from Peter and met her at one of them. I ran into her on the beach, at dive sites and at stores every few months. We were FB friends so that comprised the majority of our communication. I was attracted to her wit and her deligh...

Tides and Currents class?
A group of us are looking for instruction on reading tide tables and how to best determine optimal conditions for diving. We are new/new-ish to this and want to better understand the water.
Any instruction/classes available in the Seattle area?

Kayakers in EUWP 5-31
So we saw three kayaks tooling around in EWUP today. Two passed through the park, headed south and one put in on the north end of the park and headed I know not where.
Isn't that a no-no? I thought boats were not allowed in the EUWP. Who enforces the divers-only policy in the park?

Diving education classes -- What's out there?
Hi all -- I'm researching the continuing education opportunities for my dive club, specifically classroom presentations. While I am also surveying the membership to see what they want, I'm asking here to find out what classes are available. So, to that end: Who are you? What do you teach? How much d...

Dive planning class -- How to judge tide/current/weather.
We thought today that we'd like to take a class (or a series of classes) to help us learn more about planning dives. What is generally available and what resources to you suggest?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Any chance for NWDC hoodies or vests? I'd still love a T-shirt, though.

So after the broken finger (my hub's) healed, and then he got the flu and then *I* got the flu, we are back in the water.

Re: Whee! Loreto!
That's so cool. I have met a few Puget Sound divers in Mexico. I recall I had a frozen spring in my reg and I met a terrific guy who lent me some gear for free and said "Just return it to my shop when you get home -- it's on me."

Assuming you flew Alaska? Yes SEA to LAX, and Horizon from LAX to MMLT. Easy. -Who did you dive with? Dolphin Dive Center. Raphael Murillo is a big part of why I'm a diver. Go there, dive with him. - Did you buy a package or pay ala carte for the dives you did? We did a la carte. I'm glad as we didn...

In truth, we were laughing about our adventures the whole time. It was warm and lovely and we were in a safe and familiar place. Everything that happened could have happened anywhere and hey! we were NOT at work!

The hub and I trekked far South to Loreto, BCS, Mexico (okay, so we flew but whatever). We planned for much diving and eating and relaxing, as one does. Here's what transpired: Days 1 - 3 -- Hub laid up with flu/maybe kidney stone. I monitor the pool, walk the town and relax. Day 4 - Hub feels bette...

We won a drysuit!
My husband and I stopped off at the Seattle UW Sports store to check out the Diver's Fair. He picked up a raffle ticket just as the final announcement was being made for the drawing. When all was said and done, he won the DUI drysuit!! It's a TSL SE suit and comes with boots and gloves. He upgraded ...

And I'll bring LOTS of napkins, too.
