Re: Frozen Dive Buddy Revisited, Advice Appreciated
LCF, I remember your tip about staying warm before the dive from a previous post. Scubie Doo, yeah layering up of suits might be something we have to do. It is challenging because the bulk and buoyancy of the suit gets higher and higher with each layer we add, trying to find a balance. ArcticDiver,...

Re: MMM
I went from an undersized Apollo (neoprene) to Dui FLX Extreme (tri-lam), although am using the Bare SB fleece undergarment w/o the liner. Currently Bare has stoped production on the SB suit, #-o My flx was a big change in that I was actually comfortable! :breakdance: I could hardly feel the squeeze...

Re: MMM
Thanks Tom... was quite comfortable and warm. We had a pretty good dive. Visibility was quite good at depth, could see all the way across the dome. Funny tho how sore I am today... 119 is a totally different animal. I can tell I should probably drop about 8 lbs atleast. It'll take a few more dives t...

Re: Say What?
I have an inflateable neon orage signal/safety tube for that that rolls up nicely and is stored in my bc. I think it's about 7' long something like that, so as if I'm caught by the current out into open water of the puget sound I can atleast be seen.

Re: No boundary line at Cove 2
Randy had the misfortune of having one fisherman doing the berserk dance on the dock yelling at him for being 'inside the legal boundary' and simply would not listen to Randy's explanation. Out of the water and still in the dry suit I figured it was just a simple misunderstanding and went o...

has anyone put SiTech dryglove system on them? and does it work reliably? That and if ya'll have a picture that would be nice to see the placement

I'm 5'11"+ but under 6' 165 lbs. Stock Mediums fit me like a champ. I steped into an XL and was excessively baggy and way long, I appreciate the offer though

Re: Advice on a drysuit
Down to the final count
DUI FLX Extreme vs Bare SB
DUI: superb quality/durability/longevity/zip seals, great fit & flexible
Bare: best fit/COMFORT/flexibility hands down - longevity/durability appears moderate
If I had the money I'd buy both

Re: Advice on a drysuit
Your local LDS that stocks the brand you want can do a custom order, just be sure to ask the community of divers who to go to for measurments if custom. Otherwise the larget selection I know of would be Underwater Sports in Seattle, but I dont know about other shops further south. The tacoma dive ex...

So does the first stage need to be adjusted if using HP in lieu of LP? That and who makes good HP 120s?Nwbrewer wrote: Many are 3k max, but some are 3500 max. Should be no difference to the 2nd stage if your 1st stage is doing it's job.

DIN vs YOKE
Question all, can a first stage yoke (in my case Scubapro Mk16) be converted to HP DIN? can yoke handle HP? Also any special considerations for the second stage? (Scubapro 550)

Re: Advice on a drysuit
Are you a "stock size" or will you need a custom? If your not in a big hurry DUI is going to have a demo days Aug 11-12 in Muk. it might be worth going to. A stock size would fit me just fine at 5'11" 165. Although I keep hearing how custom orders need be returned because it didnt fi...

Re: Advice on a drysuit
I agree, customer service is just as important as the product quality. I understand the major manufacturers make good quality products without a doubt, it's just a matter of who to go with. I suppose it boils downt to fit and service then. I know seals can be done local, although I'm curious about t...

Re: Advice on a drysuit
After taking a look at Bare's SB system, tis'very nice indeed. Although Im curious about the longevity of the fabric considering it's a stretch brethable. Warranty is 2 years on the fabric, lifetime on the seams. Anyone have an SB thats got a bunch of dives on it? How's the shoulders and hips? Anoth...
