I dove it twice last summer although not with elite divers in every way. It was luck of the draw...the weather and currents happened to be perfect and it was an easy epic dive.

What hood do you like in our waters and why? Are there brands you think are better than others? Or is it just a matter of finding one that fits your noggin?!? -For cold cold water, Sea Otter comes up over and over (I believe they come in 12mm?) -I have a big melon, and Whites was the most comfortab...

Lake Washington is decent...probably 10-15 ft.

Around 47 degrees at depth, warming up to 54 degrees in the top 10-20 ft...great for deco stops.

This is the time of year I switch to lake diving for a couple of months. :)

Kona Manta Ray dive: predive, 80+ ft. During the dive when 60+ divers were told to sit on the bottom, 5 ft.

At Mukilteo last weekend I saw 6-7 ochre (purple) sea stars....adult size, but every one of them wasting. :(

I dove in a wetsuit in the sound for three years every weekend. Then I switched to a dry suit. Zero difference in my case.

I have two Shearwaters...that I run in gauge mode :)

Great display. Other display that's great as a bottom timer is the Liquivision...but it fades after a couple years.
