It's been 8 years since the Fukushima radiation plume smashed into the west coast of North America. Makes sense that the sea stars would start coming back now that the radiation levels are decreasing.

I dove it twice last summer although not with elite divers in every way. It was luck of the draw...the weather and currents happened to be perfect and it was an easy epic dive.

And I believe Eight in Des Moines carries them if Tacoma Scuba doesn't.

What hood do you like in our waters and why? Are there brands you think are better than others? WELL!! I’ll just use my $3000 scooter to avoid the swim and after 150 visits to Sund Rock it will be like diving for free...

Lake Washington is decent...probably 10-15 ft.

Around 47 degrees at depth, warming up to 54 degrees in the top 10-20 ft...great for deco stops.

This is the time of year I switch to lake diving for a couple of months.
