Re: NEED A BUDDY

had a long swim but it was good. I guess I'm just getting lazy these days...I'll sacrifice a couple minutes of bottom time to avoid a surface swim...all day! My snorkel is in my bag but I think the only reason I don't throw it away is cause with my luck, as soon as I do the "dive police" ...

Re: Hi I'm old, new

Keith, haha the service is not free if you don't need it. infact, its quite expensive :pirate: I may take you up on that dive if I can get off work on time. All my dives have been in the south china sea so currents and surge don't bother me much anymore.

Re: Redondo this weekend?

I got a facebook. hook it up with some of those pictures! Look up Brandon Calkins. I got drunk and made an account in japan so make sure it's the one of me and my girl standing in front of mt. raineer. I should be wearing a pair of white rim sun glasses. If you can recognise me in a mask that should...

Re: Holy Rollin' at Redondo

Okay you should have done what me and my buddy did when I was just a young buck. In retrospect I suppose I was a bit daragitory but what the hell. Me and a friend of mine were rooming together before I came in the service (I'd like to say the army has taught me some tact but sadly that wasn't the ca...

Re: Hi I'm old, new

Jerry, I'm one of the younger divers here (based on my brief experience with this club anyway). 25 years old. If you're ready physiologically to dive, give me a shout. I'm 100% okay with carrying your tank, weights and bc to to water for you and kitting you up in the water. It's probably good physic...

Re: Should I keep my wet suit?

I agree. Sell that daw-gon thing! A wetsuit that is too big isn't good for anything but buoyancy haha so I guess it can work as a primatave backup bc but it ain't gonna do you much good in the thermal protection arena! It's good to have a backup wetsuit (that fits) I guess. Sell it for a buck fifty ...

Re: Hi I'm old, new

What's up jerry! Just jump right in here and don't be shy! I'm new too and am absolutely amazed at how open to taking on new divers this dive club is! I been here for four or five days and been on a couple dives already! All they asked was if I was certified and if I was comfortable with their dive ...

Re: Sunday morning @ Redondo

Thanks man! Aside from the temperature I had fun! I was talking to that dude in the yota after you left though. He was just completing his 4th ow dive. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Shouldn't be too much longer before he figures out how much his air consumption will improve if he quits...I...

Re: Redondo during the Earthquake?

Wish I would have known! I totally would have went! I was dying to get in the water! Today was the first time I've gotten wet since I moved from oki in december :( It was cold but felt fantastic to breathe underwater again! Trying to go again tomorrow. I just emailed a dude in stilacoom but if y'al...

Re: You've Got to be Kidding...

In 2009 I watched a cat taking his AOW class roll out of the boat and start his descent only to look at me with huge eyes and sprint strait for my reg. Glad I seen it coming though cause there was no signal or nothing. One minute I'm breathing, the next HE is breathing and I'm fishing for my alterna...

Re: Redondo during the Earthquake?

We went earlier. Splashed at about 10 or so and it was all gravy! Guess you shouldn't sleep in young man! How dare you enjoy a weekend :P Seen that eel in the tire too. That was pretty neat. There was also a pacific octo under one of those boats out there. Couldn't tell you where as this was my firs...

Re: Fort Lewis dive buddy

I'm down for some dives. I live very near Steilicoom and Les Davis dive sites. Eventually I would like to do some dives in Hood Canal. Available most days after 2:PM and weekends. I'm very new to diving, just got a set of gear put together. Jim jbwtacoma@yahoo.com Okay sweet. We just got back from ...

Fort Lewis dive buddy

I'm looking for dive buddys anywhere really but I'd like to find some relatively close to fort lewis. I'm a master diver 85 logged dives and at least that many unlogged. Most of them are deep but I like shallow diving too. I'm new to diving in the northwest so I would really appreciate it if I could...

Dusty: Some of my most treasured diving memories involve diving in the Philipinnes, including my first shark encounters in 1967. (The white-tipped sharks didn't pay much attention to us.) Encountering this critter would have spiced up my stories considerably. -Curt :rawlings: Watched my dive instru...

Redondo this weekend?

I'm new to diving in the puget sound, however am a pretty experienced diver. I'm a NAUI master diver with around 100 hours of bottom time. I love going deep once I'm comfortable with an area but I'd like it to start slow with a semi-shallow (100 feet or less) daylight dive. I'm free all weekend just...
