Re: The end of my diving career

I have a great memory of Port Hardy trip in 2011 and you, John, are a part of it. Thank you for it. That October must've been the last time you were in the water and I'm glad I was there to meet you. Get well, stay well.. All the best.

They did. Agnes Milowka. She died shortly after while doing a no-mount exploration in Tank Cave in Australia.

Not an Xmas joke, but this might be of particular interest to divers. It employs gas expansion, sex and logic, so what the hell.. Is Hell Exothermic or Endothermic? Thanks, Jake. Good stuff. It totally looks like fun. How much lift does your humpback wing have?

Re: Sidemount Cave Diving in Mexico

In short, with my limited SM experience (but a lot of study) I think using steel tanks with a razor type system is less about the system, and more about understanding how it works, and adjust accordingly. Just my 1psi, (it's not worth 2...) Jake Thanks for the input. Worth every single psi to me :r...

Re: Sidemount Cave Diving in Mexico

Yes, I was diving the dual-bladder Bat Wing in Mexico. There is plenty of lift and the harness would certainly be adjustable for cold water, but I think you'd need a lot of modifications to be able to use it with Dry Gloves. The "cold-water" D-rings and drop points that come with it tend ...

Re: Sidemount Cave Diving in Mexico

Thanks Scott. That is what I was hoping to hear - that the rig works as good as it looks. Why do you think the Razor wouldn't work well in Cold Water? It does come with its own wing now. Dual bladder. 45 pounds of lift each. Is that what you had on your harness in Mexico?

Hi Scott. May I ask if you liked the Razor? Was there anything you disliked about it? I'm in the process of deciding which sidemount rig to buy and the Razor is on the top of my very short list. Btw, great pics :) Cheers.

Hi John, It's great to be here. The camera does do well for its size and price. Half the time underwater I kept forgetting it was on me and shooting. Thanks for the link to the editorial. I read it a couple of weeks ago - scoured the whole ADM site. Nootka Sound sounds awesome and I am already looki...

Yeah, And I SO have to echo this statement. World class location, great buddies, and not a bad photographer in the bunch! :notworthy: =D> Not quite so, I'm afraid. Here comes the one and only non-photographer in the bunch. My apologies for showing up a little late here, but I kind of waited until I...
