How to crab
Beth and I would like to try scuba crabbing this year in the sound. From reading online I have seen talks of about health concerns of crab taken from the sound. Can anyone tell me more about this. Next are there some areas that are better to go then others? Any tips or tricks? We are hoping to do th...

Re: LED vs HID
I am another one to push a Dusty light. We have 2 and dive with 2 others that have them and all are very happy. We also dive with some guys that have 21w HID lights. I am not going to lie, they are a bit brighter and seem to cut through the "murk" a bit better. The HID overall is a bit bet...

Re: TECH>>>>dual dive tanks and OMS BCD
You will probably have much better luck if you say what size tanks you have. I know you just had them Hydroed but many people like to know the age too.
Of course pics are always helpful.

Re: Under the Undergarment?
Now I am having trouble with getting the air out of the drysuit on ascents. I tried stitching some flat stitches back and forth to sort of smash down the undergarment around the area of the valve thinking that maybe the loft was obstructing the valve exhaust but it didn't seem to help. I tried addi...

Re: Salish Explorer no longer a dive charter
Why is there so few charters in the area?
I would have to guess it is a lack of money/business. If it was a good money maker seems like someone would be doing it.......

Re: New dive website
Chris thanks for your comments. I did not realize that was your site. I just picked the one site I knew of to link on the Western WA link but I will add yours also. While I am mainly focused on inland stuff I plan on posting any site I dive. Basically no reason not to. As for format I am trying to d...

Re: New dive website
Aaaahhhh makes much more sense. So YES is it going to be different then that site in a few ways. First it is going to mainly feature inland sites that are lesser known. As it was said I see no inland WA sites, only a couple OR sites and NO ID sites at all. Sure I will post up sections for ANY site I...

Re: New dive website
I see you have Idaho listed but not Oregon. Any chance that will be changing in the future? Thanks. If I ever dive there or if someone wants to contribute detailed pic and information about the sites. What is up for sites is what I have dove, have pictures and good directions for. One thing that is...

New dive website
I know there is lots of information on lots of dive sites around for sound area but nothing for the inland stuff. I figured I would start a site and try to get some good information up for us inlanders. I have been working on it like crazy and have lots to add, http://scubadivesites.webs.com/ I only...

Re: Straps anyone?
Wow that is the first positive review I have ever seen for Discount Divers. I have a commercial sewing machine and make a lot of my own stuff. I made my own harness with parts on my last 2 plates. For the price I could spend and do it myself I just ordered 2 of the padded strap (I hear it helps with...

Sounds like my drysuit most of the time. Half the time I dont want to get out since I have to stick my head inside.
Yes I do rinse it out every few dives.

Re: Tank height adjustment strap
Diverite plates. So maybe just measured different. It seems to work. Her knees are low. Next thing to get is better fins for her that she can actually frog kick in. This was taken in Nov on a train wreck dive. I know that somethings are easy to tell just by looking overall but this was taken with a ...

Re: Tank height adjustment strap
Interesting. I think my trim is good. The reg sits right at the top of the wing and must not be that high since Bob has never corrected us on it. Also any lower and my back up wouldn't reach my mouth without pulling. When we are in the water top of our tanks sit right below shoulder level. I don't h...

For Beth and her HP-100's the plate touches the boot.
For me and my HP-130 I have 3 fingers between the plate and the boot.
