Re: Club dive! Redondo! This Saturday! May 4th!
Had a great time. Glad we could make it over. Thanks for putting it on. With the bad vis I only got a couple of pics worth sharing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/nwcid/DSC_0007-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/nwcid/DSC_0011-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v510/nwcid/DSC...

Re: Silo dive and Snoqualmie Pass
See and I have the opposite problem. We dive on the west side then have to come over the pass to get home.
Since the pass is only at 3000' and we are not "maxing out" or dives I have never put a lot of concern into it.

Re: Scooter questions
As always great information. Another one of the things on the want list but not sure how much it would get used. But guessing if I had it then it would get used more. Was just kinda looking at this one since it was local.

Re: Scooter questions
Yeah that is the same one. I saw it posted on his FB since I know who the guy selling it is. I listed the link that had pics.
I was just wondering about them. Then I see the Model 400 which seems like it could be a better deal especially for travel.

Scooter questions
So I see this ad for a scooter up in my area. Wondering if it is any good? How is the price? What to watch out for?
Thanks.
Thanks.

http://www.konadivingcompany.com/Pages/default.aspx has a DM named Billy that has time in the PNW and working with Bob. He is a great guy and understands the differences between diving here and there.

Re: Perhaps the craziest question ever posed...
maybe if you ir anyone else know of specific regulations that relieve us of those obligations they could point me in the right direction... thanks again Camerone. That would be REALLY hard to do since that is NOT how laws are written. Laws are written to say what you can NOT do, not what you can.

I have to agree with all the above.

Yes it kinked at the cath because the hose was too short for proper "up" routing.
I will look at the hardware store next time I go.

p-valve
So I had my first malfunction this weekend. The suit I bought has a p-valve in it. WIth my old undergarment the tubbing just barely routed but worked just fine. Since then I got a new undergarment and now the tubing is too short. It ended up kinked and you can figure out what happened when I tried t...

Re: How do you transport your gear?
I just bring my dive locker with me. I have a heated spray tank in the bed of the pick up so we can wash our gear on site. Then hang it on the racks to dry and for storage unless I am using the trailer for other stuff.

Re: Missile Silo Dive 4-27
What are people planning on diving? Singles, doubles, air, nitrox stage bottles, pony bottle? I thought in the past they required some sort of redundant gas source? But the website and forms don't mention that. You do have to walk on a whole bunch of crap on the floor which is probably why they sug...

Re: Missile Silo Dive 4-27
No worries. Depending on what time the dive starts I will just come from home or since I will be brining the trailer just sleep in it.

How many total can go in a "group"? We have 2-3 that would probably be interested.

Re: I got bent (NHZ)
In addition to the deep stop I would ignore the 10' stop idea. That's 1/3ATM! I wonder who came up with that? It seem to be universal in basic computers. I am not disputing what you are saying here but I think it might be a misunderstanding. From one of my instructors apparently one of the issues i...

Re: Yoke cap
Wow that valve is more expensive then the gauge I was looking at, http://www.divegearexpress.com/gas/cylacc.shtml#775
I was just hoping there was a $5-10 cap that would work so that was one less semi delicate part I have to keep track of.

Yoke cap
I bought a used transfill whip not realizing it was Yoke not DIN. Right now to check tank pressures I have to screw in a reg set which can be a pain just to check pressure. I keep looking at stand alone DIN gauges but that is one more thing to keep track of. What I am wondering is here a cap or plug...

Re: Trimix vs rebreather
So that is an interesting thought.
So if people are mixing gasses in welding in the "rented" tanks then just topping them off isn't there a chance that would be an issue for the next user?
