I have 3 of the large Husky boxes and use them for all kinds of things, including scuba and they are great.

Re: Been dry too long -- where to get gear serviced on the east side?
I am on the dry side too. Both Atlantis Aquatic in Spokane Valley and Jake's Scuba in CDA should be able to do the work. Personally I take my suits to Tacoma Scuba. I have a local place do the hydro, since that is what a shop is going to do anyhow. I do my own VIS (yes I have the cert). I do my own ...

Harstine island diving
We are headed to the west side of the state next week to visit some relatives. They have a house right on the water, on the west side of Harstine island approximately at the tip of Squaxin island. We are considering bringing our dive gear with us. Has anyone ever dove this area? Are there any known ...

Re: Spring break dive trip help
I dont have hard dates yet. It is likely that we will be arriving at Keystone the evening of April 4th, diving on the 5th for sure. After that will depend on what other sites we want to hit. Then traveling home on the 8th or 9th.

Spring break dive trip help
The wife and I are thinking of taking a dive trip for spring break. We typically dive either Redondo or Alki due to parking space. I know there are some great places up north and west to dive. We have wanted to dive Keystone for a while, but just too far to make the trip over a weekend. With a week ...

Re: Drysuit hoods
Thanks for all the feedback.
Eric has great customer service. I liked the hood I had and knew the exact size I needed. We are diving next weekend so I needed one sooner then later. If I find myself getting cold, I will defiantly look at the other ones.

Re: Drysuit hoods
The other thing I have noticed is that all the hoods listed are solid. The hood I have now and the one my wife uses both have zippers. How does putting on and taking off a hood with no zipper compare.

Re: Drysuit hoods
Just read the reviews on it. Sounds like I might need 2 hoods if I went with this one. I can't think of a time my head actually got cold, but I can think of times it was too warm.

Drysuit hoods
I have been using a hood that I believe I got from Bob years ago when I got my first drysuit, but didn't have a hood yet. Well I have finally wore it out and looking for options now. The hood I have is a High Tide Pro with back zipper. Overall the hood is actually in good shape other then the chin c...

Re: New from Spokane Buddy needed
I have not updated it in a while, but here is a page that deals with some local diving, http://scubadivesites.webs.com There is actually a pretty active group of divers in the Spokane/CDA area. We are up North by Colville and dive fairly frequently. We also get over to the west side several times a ...

Re: Wide Angle lens?
Wide or Fisheye? For true fixed Fisheye I think the 10.5mm from Nikon takes the lead. I have one and really enjoy it. For adjustable the Tokina 11-17mm gets tons of praise. With either you are going to need a dome port for it to work right. I bought a Tamron 11-18mm a couple of years ago and only us...

So that seems to be in the range I was thinking. That will help offset the price of the new ones
This morning on my computer I was able to do a little better search then on my phone last night.

Used computer price
We are probably getting new computes and trying to figure out what the ones we have now are worth. I have done some searching, but being older units I did not come up with much. I am not sure on the total dive count, I bought them used togeter, but we put about 150 dives on them over the last 3 year...

Re: Need Help Choosing a Dryglove System
We just use a couple drops of seal saver on the glove rings every few dives and seems to work well for us. We have the seal saver out doing the neck and wrist seals anyhow.
Like others said just make sure to work them on straight.

Re: Full Face Masks
We did a total of 3 full dives with them. I WILL be using it for all of my PSD diving, hands down, even though no coms. I do see myself diving it when we hit cold water, it is not uncommon for us to be in low 40's to 30's. Some of it is for fun dives and some for PSD training. With that said I will ...

Re: Help, YS-250 Strobe
True, on land and underwater is not the same. It has been a while since I spent much time underwater with my camera :( and I was thinking it would get a little heavy on one side if I had the arm extend out much. Now that I think about it, it does not make much difference when I have one out and one ...

Re: Help, YS-250 Strobe
Thanks for the help so far. I do have my other YS-250, so I am not as worried about having a strobe as I am trying to balance the rig. If I can not find something close in weight (3lb) I will just have to weight one side.

It might be possible. Guess it depends on when it gets done and I don't think anything goes overnight to Maui.......
It is worth asking.

Help, YS-250 Strobe
After my dives the weekend before last one of my strobes would not come on. I sent it overnight for repair to CA and he said he would do his best to get it back to me in time for my trip. As of right now it does not look like I will be getting it back before we leave on Thursday. I know it is a long...
