Re: Technical Dive Gear

I should add that I'am in Portland, so all prices are not including shipping, specially for heavy items like tanks. It can be individually handled per situation. On some of the bigger purchases I might be able to schedule a meeting. Thanks..

Re: Technical Dive Gear

If I see enough interest, I might be willing to consider parting out. For the moment I'am more inclined to 1 or maybe 2 buyers. :)

Re: Tank valve bubble

Try replacing your regulator face o-ring, a bad o-ring at that point can allow it to leak from this tiny hole.

Video Lighting Lumedyne

Has anyone installed the Lumedyne reflector on a 21 watt Light Monkey and used for video ? Would I be better off just going with a Sola 1200 ? Currently putting together a GoPro 3 setup.

Thanks ......

Re: Hid lights

Led light is a "the name thou shall not be spoken" OMS 16 volt lithium. Supposedly it's rated at 1100 Lu @ 12.58 feet with a 6 deg beam. The LM seems to have a really blue color, wasnt sure if this was a sign of bulb deterioraton or normal light color. Really noticed a difference between t...

Hid lights

Do Hid lights have significant diminished light output over time, or does it stay at a constant. Have a LM 21 watt Hid that seems more comparable to or even less than a 12 watt led with a 8 deg beam.

Thanks.....

Re: Edge Gear Quickshot

Use wire cutters to nip off the last ~2mm of the shraeder valve or so. Not sure why the pin is so long but this doesn't alter its function. I had one of these for awhile but took it off since I wasn't using it much. I was in complete agreement until I trimmed the extra pin protrusion. The extra pin...

Edge Gear Quickshot

Quickshot won't work with my Apeks DS4 first stage. Seems the Schrader valve hits inside of LP passage. Has anyone experienced this problem, any suggestions ?

Re: Powerlines, Sechelt, BC Canada

Found some videos here and there, definitely looks worth packing some helium along. Planning on a few dives on the HMCS Chaudiere too, will be my first time on the wreck.

Thanks for all the helpfull input...

Re: light canister battery not charging

I was thinking connection was solid, as I can plug the charger in the input side and get voltage to light head on the output side. Not really sure how to correctly diagnois a faulty PCB ?

Thanks

Re: light canister battery not charging

Had used light a few weeks ago and threw on charger Fri night. Battery wasn't fully discharged when last used and no apparent problems with light. Flipped light head on sat morning and not even a glimmer. Battery isn't completely sealed , but is shrink wrapped with what seems like a extensive protec...

Re: light canister battery not charging

Red is active charging, green is completed. Zero output volatge from battery leads. The only way the light head will turn on is, if you plug light head in with charger connected. Ten seconds after unplugging charger the light head will turn off.

light canister battery not charging

I have a 16v lithium battery with float protection that will not charge. When plugged into charger the charge led immediately goes to green. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was checking out the TruMix 4001 Trimix Analyzer, any good or bad stories ? The Divesoft does seem pretty trick, just not sure I can afford the pole attachment. :)
