I have the Oneill J-type, it's ok. I've worn the nova scotia once and I felt it kept me much drier and warmer. I got a heck of a deal on the oneill so I went for it. I'll give it a couple more dives until I start hunting for the next best thing. If I could do a side by side review of the two of them...

We have a family place out there, so I'm sure we'll make it a bigger priority at some point to make it happen. The holiday weekend was awful for ferry traffic (duh).

In the rush to get out of town to the ferry, the dive gear was not fit into the car. I did do some snorkeling but vis was probably 5-10' from the surface and without weight I could not dive down with my wetsuit on.

I'm headed to orcas this weekend to dive doe bay. Never been, will let you know what I find.

Steel 100-120 with a DIN would be on my wishlist. Also in need of a SPG.

I'll be diving with my dad, who's returned to the sport after a 25 year hiatus while us kids grew up. Since we're driving from Seattle, probably go to keystone, get a fill at Oak Harbor, then either return there or go to Rosario head, unless anyone has any other recommendations.
