If you need a dive buddy Mondays let me know.
Discovery Bay is not to far from you also. I can bring my boat up and meet you at Gardiner.

Re: Dive compressor and mixing equipment

It could have been a 5hp but it looked like a 6.
I was looking at it upside down and could barley read it.

Re: Dive compressor and mixing equipment

I know that its a 6hp single phase 208-230volt.
as far as filtration everything was boxed up.
The compressor was in a Pod shipping container so it would be hard to get a good photo.
This was a last minute "try to sell".

Re: Question about visibility in June.

You don't get the algae bloom as bad. The vis is should run about 10-20ft.
Are these going to be shore dive's from the jetty or boat dive's?

How big is your neck and what is the size of your seal opening not stretched.

My neck is 17" and my seal opening is 11" not stretched.
its a little on the tight side but I have had them looser and leaked.

Re: Misery Point Reef

The currents not to bad maybe 1kn at peak on a normal tide.
The surface current can be very bad if the wind is from the south.
We would normaly dive it on a low exchange or at slack from a boat.

Re: Misery Point Reef

Just a heads up on the reef at Misery Point. I live 2 miles from there and used to dive it a lot back in the 90's. Its been 10 years since the last time mainly because it has deteriorated badly. They had markers at one time but there long gone. The reef was long and narrow in 60ft of water. If you d...

Re: Cold water convert

Thanks Jason for coming along. I'm glad you enjoyed the dives. I was happy to take a new diver out to some of the better spots. My 3dr open water dive was at the Pinnacle almost 20 years ago.So I guess you can say I was hooked also. If you want to see fish, and I mean lots of fish this is the time t...

I was up at the Pinnacle.
Took a new diver out for his first boat dive along with Mike.

I guess I never took a hard enough look at the ropes to see them before.

What is this?

While out diving on the Hood Canal today my buddy Mike came up with this weird little creature.
We have never seen anything like this before.
Anyone have a clue what it is.
Here is a short vid.

Re: So frustrated

I keep telling myself I should go over some basic skills myself. But It seems for me when I test my skills it's for real. Like the time I took a fin to the face at 125ft at night. It took my mask off. I was able to find it and get it back on. Or the time I got caught on rebar and fishing line and ha...

Re: In the hunt for "Ear Muffs"

My advise is to go to a place like Cabelas or Wholesale Sports and try them on.
find a pair that is comfortable and fits well.
a good seal will make a huge difference.
If your shooting rifles you also want a pair that wont hit your stock.

Re: Ice on the Canal

I wish I would have got some vid in the morning when there was more.
That was the most ice I seen out in the main channel ever.
it was kind of fun playing ice breaker.
At least when you hit a patch out there you don't have to worry skidding out of control.
