SWEET!!! Keeping fingers crossed that my beloved Hawks will kick butt next season.
Would love to see them come to Texas and dominate.
(You can make a gal move from the PNW to Texas but you can't make her love being there )

Re: Two Step
Dove there shortly after getting my OW cert.. Loved it.
Diving was very new to me and I was thrilled to have the great vis and warm blue water to dive in.
Where I first spotted sea grapes.
When in Kona you MUST do the night dive with the Mantas... an experience not to be missed.

Re: Different drysuits - which one for me?
I have only had SiTech valves on my drysuits. LOVE THEM!!!!! :luv: Won't put anything else on a suit. Not dumping fast enough has never really been an issue. You can always push the button in the middle and get full dump speed. Sounds like you are on the right research path. Luck for you it sounds l...

Re: How many dives did you do in 2009?
I haven't been keeping track of my dives since I left the beautiful PNW and its amazing waters. all I know is that I DIDN'T DIVE ENOUGH IN 2009. Think I need to log them for 2010 and see how many I actually do. I use to average about 100 a year.... argggghhhh nothing worse than not diving. :banghead:

Re: who solo dives ... and why ...
I do enough things in my life solo. Have no desire to dive alone. Do I have the skills? I believe I do. Do I desire the solitude? NO!!! Those dives where I want to just hang and enjoy ~ take pics ~ goof off I have learned to select my buddy very carefully. Do I object to solo diving? Not at all. If ...

Dove a Whites neoprene suit for years (even Whites couldn't believe how many years I got out of their suit) YES you do need undergarments (undies) with a neoprene suit. Unlike a wetsuit.. they are not going to get wet (at least not often). I usually dove my suit with a first layer of REI "longj...

I need to find a good job so I can move home.
Miss diving with the amazing PNW critters.
Lumpies and Snailfish at the Dond. In 11 years of diving there NEVER saw either of these guys.

Daughter is one of the instructors at DIT and a graduate. Unless they have changed the program the students spent the first month (I believe...

I would like to know. Always good to know your buddies limits. Dove with a buddy who didn't explain he gets nosebleeds easily. I called the dive when I noticed his mask filling with blood. Once we surfaced he explained that it happens all the time.. no biggie Wasn't a diving issue. Next time we dove...

Re: Good deal on steel tanks?
I own HP 80's and HP 119's..
Dove the 119's more than than 80's. (80's are now twinned and no longer used as singles)
Nothing wrong with having a little extra "gas" when your out playing with friends.
Find the larger tanks are also good when diving with buddies who dive doubles.

That's not a dungie ... it's a cancer gracilis crab. They're similar, but much smaller crabs that live in the mud up near the beach line. There's an egg-fest going on with them right now, as I see several "pregnant" females every time I'm up in the shallows. ... Bob (Grateful Diver) Thank...

Fabulous news.. Thanks for sharing it. I was surprised at the Craig's List post... 2 bags of dive gear FOUND..
